Holiday Inn Express & Suites Loma Linda San Bernardino S an IHG Hotel

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Started during check-in when the room I requested was not the one given to me and the clerks response was, “I just work here” we went to park in the back since we were pulling a small u-haul trailer and discovered the hotel surrounded by drug using thugs. My daughter wound up sleeping the night in the car because of the fear of getting our trailer broken into, and the hotel stating that they would not do anything. The room given did not have a locking deadbolt on the door and the breakfast the next morning was horrible with the pancake machine spitting out raw dough. The ceiling of the room had some kind of nasty stain dripping down and disgusting. The hallway floors of the hotel were dirty and appeared to never have been cleaned and smelled terrible. When asking for the manager the next day, he was never available to discuss the situation. I called the corporate office because of not getting satisfactory answers from management and they were also less than helpful only offering some useless ‘member points.’ At this point I have contacted the health department because of physical symptoms I experienced afterwards and local police because of drug use that the hotel was aware of and refusing to address. This is definitely not a place to take your family or to spend your money!

We requested a no-pet room due to pet dander allergies, but upon entering, there was a strong pet odor. The shower was filthy, and we spent 10 minutes cleaning hair and dirt from it. Afterward, we noticed a foul odor and saw two stains beside the bed, which appeared to be from a pet relieving itself and not being cleaned promptly. It was after midnight when we checked in, and we were so exhausted from 13 hours on the road that we put towels over the spots and slept in our clothes.. I don’t know how we stayed there overnight. I can only reason that we had been on the road for 13 hrs and were so dog tired that we weren’t thinking straight. I left a voicemail for the manager in the morning but never heard back.

This is the cleanest IHG facility I have stayed at in quite a while. even the carpeted stairwells were spotless. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The 24/7 beverage bar had coffee/decaf/hot water with all the needed additives. Breakfast was well stocked with lots of options. The location is right off Interstate 10.

My mattress smelled like urine to the point that you couldn't even stand near it so I asked the front desk if they could change my mattress or room but they said they could only bring more covers or bring a side rolling bed. I ended up sleeping in a rolling bed that was half my side. I dont know about you but being expected to sleep in a bed that stinks and trying to solve the problem by just putting more blankets or covers is not ok.

Quiet and reasonably priced choice. Close to all the medical facilities. Rooms well appointed. Recently painted exterior of building and inside as well. Ample breakfast provided, however a parking fee is charged that was not disclosed prior to booking.
