Motel 6 Fremont CA South

Lodging in the SF Bay Area is expensive by US average standards. This Motel 6 provides a chance to save $$$ to spend on dining or entertainment or ??? It's at the edge of a nondescript industrial park, but is adjacent to fast food, a couple of restaurants, and an Asian-themed supermarket. Rooms have been renovated with wood floors and flat screen TVs. There is no pool, looks like it's been replaced with xeriscape. Mattress was pretty soft, that's my only complaint about the room. Morning coffee was ready on time and was pretty good by Motel6 standards. If you're travelling very light, it's about a 1 mile walk to BART Warm Springs station and about 0.6 miles to an AC Transit bus stop. If you're looking for basic, economical accommodations this is a good choice.

You have to remember you are getting a room that is much cheaper than anywhere else. The motel is clean, there's a ton of shopping and food options close, and its Cheap compared to everywhere else!! Yes it's basic but the bay area is so high priced sometimes you have to go basic to not kill yourself financially. It has a bed with sheets, it has a shower and toilet, and it's reasonably priced. That's a winner.

One of the cheapest Fremont hotels, it shows in the amenities. Hard mattress, barely lukewarm water in the shower, no water pressure in the shower, and no shampoo provided. I mentioned the lack of hot water to the receptionist but she barely acknowledged my comment. I would not return to this hotel.

The only thing in the room that was good was the flat screen TV. Bed was dreadfully hard. Heater was either too hot or too cold. Bathroom light was very poor. No drinking glass in the bathroom. The whole experience was third rate. Would not stay here again.

Had booked this motel because we have had awesome experiences at a few Motel 6s on our up north from Southern California but unfortunately, this one missed the spot. The price was higher than advertised... upon our entry, our room did not have fresh towels or toilet paper and took a while for the front desk to get us anything... out of the 4 days and nights we stayed, our room was not serviced 2 times... small hand towels were left in place of large towels to dry after bathing and the some of the staff could have been a little nicer. When I addressed the hotel front desk about the lack of service to our room, they didn't even attempt to compensate in any way. Motel is in a good location surrounded by restaurants and stores... right off the freeway... has alot of potential but definitely could use a face lift and customer service training.
