Apple Tree Inn Washington

We are a long term stay. The 2 people that work at the front desk, Paul and Berry are rude. I've called the front desk at 930pm and Berry was working. I let the phone ring for 10 MINUTES and she didn't answer the phone. I called for a argument/ fight going on in the room above us. She didn't answer the phone so I had to call Metro and they came out. Guests SHOULD NOT have to call Metro for a noise complaint. Another time I called the front desk and Paul answered and then hung up on me. I didn't get to say anything, he just hung up on me! Hardy us doing a great job since Irissa left. But, it's not the same when she was here. Also people need to pick up after their dogs. Everyrime my husband and I take our dogs out we ALWAYS step in dog crap. We pick up our dogs' poop. We shouldn't have to pick up after other people's dog poop. There's always garbage in the parking lot and the outside garbage cans and the garbage can by the pool is always over flowing. My husband is having to fix things that go wrong in our room because all the maintenance guys quit. My husband shouldn't have to fix and replace things because there is no maintenance guy. That's just plain WRONG!!! My husband's room doesn't have a heater in it so he always freezes. When Paul does laundry he mixes new stuff with dirty stuff. He clearly doesn't know the difference between clean and dirty laundry. When Jess was doing laundry everything was perfect! Put Jess back in laundry!! The housekeepers are doing and EXCELLENT job. They should get recognition for gmdoing such a good job! I think the smoking building is in need of some upgrades. Our stove looks like it's from the 70s and has mismatched knobs, the refrigerator is missing all the bars in the door. The microwave doesnt work properly. I think our rent should be lowered because of all the out dated appliances .The wifi STILL needs to be fixed. Nobody cares about this place since Irissa left. She's the only one that truly cared about this place. You can clearly see that nobody cares about this place. I WISH Irissa never quit. But I see why she did

This motel is extremely dishonest. They will pre-charge a deposit and find various excuses to withhold part of the guests' deposit. I recommend that travel websites like Booking.com remove this motel from their listings!This motel is extremely dishonest.

DO NOT Stay here! It has gone seriously downhill. After getting our key, we decided it wasn't safe (based on the clientele and the cars already parked) and a peek into the uncleaned room showing that it wasn't clean or habitable. they said it would be done in 10 minutes. There is NO WAY that suite was going to get cleaned in 10 minutes. As a group of women and children, we just couldn't stomach it. SCARY!! We had to stay elsewhere for a lot more money, and they can't be reached to discuss a refund the very nice desk person told us would happen by the manager the next day. Multiple calls to the office. They don't answer. We are still waiting to hear from the manager. One email has been shut down and the BBB indicates they are NOT an accredited location. It's too bad because there are very few options for N. Spokane. I wish I would have snapped a few pics. 5/21/24 Upate: I disputed this charge with my bank and the hotel is holding to a cancellation policy even though the room wasn’t ready upon arrival as contracted. As noted above, it was filthy. We called to tell them we needed to cancel. They refunded the $100 deposit (So they acknowledge that we cancelled) but won't refund the room charges. They indicated in their response on Trip Advisor as follows: “We shall take all measures required to rectify the conditions to have you back as a contented guest. We would be grateful if you allow us to make amends and improve your experience during your next stay.” However, their website is not functional, and they have NOT made an attempt to contact me or my sister to resolve making their words ingenuine. We are holding to this review. Clearly, they have no real desire to maintain customer service. I hope this hotel gets a new owner and a much-needed update as there are few options in N. Spokane for respectable people.

The rooms are cleanly, organized and spacious. Still smoker friendly!!!! Staff is professional. Within walking distance of plenty of goods services and food. The TV is respectable size and channels are sufficient. It is generally a good experience here.

This property should not be listed as it is totally unsafe for people to stay here. We have stayed here for the past 30 years and never has it been like it is now, we will never stay here again.. We checked in in the early evening and were put in room 608, shortly after we got into our room I could smell smoke and went looking for where it was coming from. I found a homeless person in the back stairs smoking his crack which we were also now exposed too, (we both felt nauseated after this exposure). In the parking lot I found two males carrying large boxes into the building. After checking our car I found one male doing something near the drivers door of an unlicenced SUV and the other inside the building lurking around the upper hallway. It seems some of the homeless live at this hotel. By then we had had enough and I told the front desk to get rid of the crack smoker and to cancel our reservation for the next night. We were kept up most of the night with transients coming and going from rooms around ours. There is no security in the buildings and anyone has access. The room itself was beyond dirty and run down. The bed had hair in it and the sheet was badly stained. The carpets are dirty and stained The curtains are broken and dirty. The window screen is also broken and unusable. Never again.
