Hilton Garden Inn Dana Point Doheny Beach

Read First before you hit "book". I has always bothered me when you get a "bait and switch", or hidden fees. This is that place. We went for a nice weekend and upon arival, pulling up to the roundabout driveway a sign saying "guest parking, self park $45 per night and valet $50!!!". Now that "Hilton" room is not as affordable as one would think. Well there must be somewhere else to park, NOT A CHANCE. Pay or don't stay, there is nowhere near to park. Ok, I thought, been duped again, just accept it. Then I asked if we had an "ocean view room". "No sir" the little girl said, but I can upgrade you for an additional $50." Well I am pretty deep into it now so I agreed. Well Room 295 has a Palm Tree view, looking into the TREES. No ocean, except maybe a little corner on the left if you squint hard enough. I immediately called and the nice girl said, "we can move you to the pool, but it is the same". Well can I have my money back then because this is not a ocean view. No, take it our we move you to a closet in the back of the hotel. Can I blame the hotel for allowing a high school prom party in the adjoining room? Kids need to have fun so I resisted calling until 2:00 AM. Someone came up, pounded on their door, maybe talked to someone and it was quiet for 5 minutes! No follow up other than the next morning the same little girl asked "How was your stay?" I explained that it was awful, can you see in your notes what I have been through? "We will give you $10 off your parking for the inconvenience. What would you do at this point, with your eyes still sticking together from the lack of sleep? Not her fault, just wait until you can post a review. Well this is it. The only saving grace was the friendly bartender and the valet. They were both good people and truly wanted to help. I am not in the business of slamming businesses, but I am going to cancel my Hilton Honors account and see if I can dispute the "view" upgrade charge on my credit card. Anyway, if non of this would bother you, then this is your hotel.

Amazing staff… Comfortable hotel… And great restaurant. We were greeted very graciously when we first arrived and every request was met with a smile. We will definitely be back again. Even the valet staff is very friendly and knowledgeable on the hotel and the area around.

My boyfriend and I went to the Hilton Garden Inn, Dana Point for a lovely drink. We ran into Randi the bartender, and thought she was amazing. She had amazing service, she helped us with everything that we needed, &!she did it with a smile. We really loved the atmosphere and renovations. She is one of the reasons why we will come back.

I currently travel all around the world and I got the chance to be home and get away for the weekend with my beautiful wife!! I called and talked to Amber at the front desk and expressed my concerns for wanting this weekend to be perfect. Amber went so far above and beyond that I downloaded this app to say thank you!! She ensured that my room was correct, allowed early check in, got a bottle of Champaign for my room and helped me with a a late checkout!!! I hope Hilton hotels knows that you have an absolute rockstar who has the most strongest customer service and and embodies a here to help attitude. Thank you Amber You made our weekend so enjoyable and stress free that I will be recommending this hotel to everyone!!!!

We came to the lobby bar and met Randi the server/ bartender. She was energetic, awesome, and cute. She was a breath of fresh air. We connected with her right away. She made great cocktails, and was able to handle the whole lobby when it got crowded. She remained composed and wonderful. It was very busy but she did a great job with a smile on her face!!!!
