Residence Inn by Marriott Corona Riverside

We arrived late and the reason this place selected because there is a sport center nearby and our daughter has a volleyball tournament that needs to be there early at 7:15 am and didn't want to drive 1.25 hrs from where we live. It seems we were given a room that A/C not functioning for a while. Called down to front desk, she had me hold for 10 minutes and have no choice but to hang up. We had to open the windows a little but still does not help in the sauna room climate. We brought to MOD Shaun attention the next morning, he promised the A/C technician will take a look which I hope so. Shaun promised us 5,000 Marriot points for the inconvenience as of now, has yet to see it reflected in our Marriot account. Honestly, at this point, does not matter I get the points or not but Resident Inn Corona, you dropped the ball not only once but twice and this makes the star dropped from Average to Poor because did not meet provide a room that A/C working (it seems out of function a while, it is not happened on the night we checked in) and the MOD did not deliver what he promise to correct the inconvenient. The Asian breakfast lady is very hardworking. Constantly replenishing breakfast items. Breakfast items, not what I expected from the quality standard of Residence Inn that I am used to. It seems sparse. We wanted to sleep in late again but due the A/C not working, in the morning, the room climate worst, like in a sauna room and stuffy. We went to a local church service and asked for till 12 noon check out. We came back at 11:00 am to collect our belongings and stay in the A/C lobby to wait for my daughter to finish her game at 1 pm. I regretted I selected this property due to proximity to the sport complex. There is a SpringHill Suites just 10 minutes drive away. I wish that the night receptionist that checked us in, would have send us there that night if she has taken our call that night and I would not have to write this review.

This is one of my new favorite hotels in the area. I needed a work retreat to get a lot of work done and it was perfect and quiet. The staff were amazing, especially Sean and Edgar (and lots of ladies!). I was able to print my work docs as needed which was great. And the free breakfast was better than most. I love how the rooms have a desk and a couch with a table, and a small table. And the firepit was awesome to sit at day or night. I would come back for sure when I get the chance!

Great for business in the area. The rooms are clean, the staff members are nice, and it is a decent location. Full kitchen in room - full-size refrigerator for those who like to eat their food. Stove, fully stocked with cookware, etc. My only comment would be to brighten the color palette of the hallways and rooms. The grey is so dark and somewhat depressing. It is dank and lonely feeling. Albeit the hotel itself is very clean and up to date. Lighter colors and yellows would feel so much more welcoming and cleaner.

Are you like me? Do so much research your eyes go blurry? Stop looking for a hotel, you found it. We had a two bedroom suite, as my mom was traveling with us to meet her 9th grandson. The room was great. Breakfast was good every morning. Waffles, Bagels, English muffins, eggs and some type of protein. Oatmeal and cereal too. Best was hot coffee was available at 4am. We’re from NJ so that was awesome! John at the Front Desk was awesome. Gave us some great tips for our week long stay. Deloris was very helpful. Great fire pit! Lots of restaurants within a few miles and holy cow, Cold Stone available through Uber Eats! Thanks for the great stay! Much appreciated!

This hotel is the worst. They canceled our reservation with out telling us, with no notification. When we arrived at 10pm with our family and child they informed us they had no rooms available. We had booked this room a month in advance. When I got upset and scared at the prospect of my family having no place to go, terrified and completely shocked, the front desk attendant Dolores asked me to leave. She basically canceled our reservation and then wanted to put my family and I on the street at 10 pm on a Saturday. I had called twice to confirm the reservation and asked for early check in yet somehow arrived to no vacancy. I cannot believe this happened at a Marriot. She didn’t offer to help until I burst into tears begging for assistance for a place for my child to sleep safely.
