I only stayed here for one night because I was going to do a hike nearby before catching a flight to head home. It was only one night, but I really enjoyed my stay. The location was awesome. Literally walking distance to nearby restaurants if you don’t want to get in your car to grab something to eat. Additionally, it’s a short driving distance to other stores, coffee shops, and restaurants. Check-in was easy in addition to finding parking. My room was ready earlier than expected. The room itself was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. The folks at the front desk were super helpful and friendly when I needed to print something. If I’m ever back in Chico (there are lots of places to hike nearby) I’ll be sure to stay here again.

The worst hotel service in Chico CA. I digitally checked in the night before reserving the room I wanted. When I physically checked in they tried to give me a different room. When I questioned why they changed my room. They acted as though I was the one who messed up the reservation and told me to calm down. The manager and owner of this franchise weren't available, an no contact inforamtion was available.. Worst service I've ever experience. I'll never go back to that place.

I could have rated this anywhere between a 3 and 5 stars. We stayed for 2 nights at Thanksgiving. We had requested an ADA room, that would have bars in the bathroom for my traveling companion. The room was very spacious (it might be more so, since it is an ADA room, as some may need room for a wheelchair to get around easily.). It also had curtains that would raise with a switch; I haven't seen that in most hotel rooms! It felt very clean, and I heard it is a newer hotel (vs. the Doubletree). There were a decent number of plugs, room to put luggage, and decent mirrors for getting ready. We were able to use points, which normally gives you some extra perks with Diamond status, such as free bottled water,..... We were not given anything upon check-in. A free breakfast is included in the price of your room. It is decent: biscuits and gravy, extremely thin (almost invisible) bacon, yogurt, pancakes, make-your-own waffle, bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, juice, coffee, and the 2nd day had scrambled eggs & sausage, instead of the biscuits and bacon.... people should be able to find something they can eat there. The beds were comfortable, with 4 pillows on each. Parking was fairly open. There were more dogs at this hotel than I have ever seen. If you have pet allergies, or don't want to stay in a room where someone's dog has likely been on all of the furnishings, this may not be the hotel for you. The reason I took off stars: 1) We did not receive any maid service, even though we were out of the room by 10 a.m., and the maids were 2 rooms down from us when we left. I had to go back down to the front desk that night to get supplies. I know this may happen from time to time. However, we were just at another Hilton Hotel within the past 2 months, and did not receive maid service there, either. I am thinking, either, Hilton (including Hampton Inn) has a systemic problem in planning maid service, or there are management problems and/or they are not staffing appropriately. No reasons were given for their lapse in service that is covered in the cost of the room. 2) When I went down to the front desk to get supplies we were out of, a gal working the desk was talking to a man who had his aunt on speaker phone discussing room rates that were charged differently in person than online for an extremely long time. Meanwhile, the guy that had checked us in the night before came up front, but when I mentioned our room wasn't cleaned, said he was "off the clock". He then also added that if we weren't checking out that day, we wouldn't get maid service. The gal that finally got the man that wouldn't leave to go, told me that what the guy told us was not true, and that he has an emergency issue and isn't thinking correctly. When I asked her if we should have received anything as Diamond members, such as bottled water, she said she'd would have to "assume that I was telling the truth", or something similarly insulting, and I told her to ask the guy, as he had checked us in, if he had given us any of the perks we were supposed to receive as Diamond members. She then did get some bottled water (short of what we are told we are to receive.). The shower gel container was ripped off of the shower wall, but was still easily usable -- just not sure when they are thinking to fix it. Overall, our rooms were comfortable, it was nice to have a breakfast included, and we were happy with our room. (Although, an "ADA room" can vary widely -- ours had bars, but had a tub/shower, which, for anyone with issues like bone-on-bone knees that don't bend well, a tub makes a shower impossible to get into; it may work for other disabilities). A walk-in shower would fit more ADA purposes, I would think. I could give this an overall 5, but I don't like that 2 Hilton/Hampton Inn Hotels within 2 months of each other did not give maid service, and we had to push for the perks we are told we will receive with Diamond status, and made to feel we are pushing our luck for asking for something that literally costs them around 10 cents! (And they have received thousands of $ from us to have reached Diamond status). Hilton/Hampton Inns need to train their staff to do their jobs, train their maid service to clean ALL rooms, not just the ones they feel like getting to, and train their staff not to imply people are requesting something they don't deserve, when it is written on their sites. Customers should be treated better. Hilton/Hampton Inn have been around a long time. Up your game.

Very clean and modern. Extremely convenient parking. You get to choose your room, so I choose the back and park by the back door. Except for one loud, unruly guest, I find it very quiet and peaceful here. The front desk ladies were very nice and I enjoyed a great breakfast. This hotel is walking distance to restaurants and the mall. I have tried several other hotels in Chico, but this one is my favorite.

First, let me say that I was quite sick with a bad cold when I checked into the hotel. The room was non-refundable; otherwise I would have rescheduled. I enjoyed lunch at Logan's Roadhouse-- which is right next door. Very convenient! Check-in was a breeze. I couldn't wait to get into bed. The room was very large and beautiful with tasteful, soothing gray walls. A spacious, well equipped bathroom. Low toilet, though. My only complaint was that I couldn't change the channel on the TV the whole time I was there. Good thing it was on abc which is my favorite network. TV is a big part of the Hotel Experience! I called the Front Desk a few times for help. He came to my room a couple of times. I suggested the remote might need batteries. He mumbled something and left. I never heard back. I mostly slept -- so it wasn't too bad. Very comfortable beds, nice linens. I was too sick to eat breakfast; however the dining area looked beautiful and luxurious. And, they served until 10:00am; which is very rare! I would have loved to have eaten there. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!
