Wonderful accommodations in Carmel. Close to everything with a tranquil place to lay your head. Added breakfast service to your room each morning made for a wonderful start to our day. Delicious, healthy and filling. Loved our stay! Would recommend this place to our friends.

Review of Tradewinds Carmel – Room 28 My stay at the Tradewinds Carmel was nothing short of magical. I stayed in Room 28, tucked away at the very top of the hill, and it offered truly breathtaking ocean views from both inside and the private balcony. The room itself was a peaceful retreat—spacious, with soaring ceilings and beautiful exposed wood beams that added to the charm. One of my favorite features was the gas fireplace, which turned on easily with a switch and timer—perfect for a cozy evening. The overall vibe of the hotel is serene and Zen-like with lush, tropical touches throughout the property. The front desk clerk and her assistant were both incredibly kind and welcoming, providing top-notch service from the moment I arrived. I also appreciated how safe and convenient the parking was, with dedicated lots for each section of the building. Without a doubt, Tradewinds is now my go-to place to stay in Carmel. I can’t wait to return!

We enjoyed the spa-like features in the room--kimono robe and slippers, water feature and large shower/tub. Great water pressure. Double pillows on the beds also appreciated. Plenty of space for 3 adult family members. Breakfast delivery in a basket is a nice touch. Had a peak of the ocean from our window.

This place is magical. We stayed in room 19 and it was perfect. The room was so cozy, the bed was very comfortable, the fireplace, balcony and view were amazing. It was quiet and peaceful. The bathtub jets were so relaxing. We loved all of it and will definitely be back.

We opted for an upgraded room, and while we enjoyed the decor, fireplace, cleanliness, proximity to downtown, and view there were some issues with our room. The mattress felt worn and past its prime with big divots on both sides from past occupants. Additionally, the jets in the tube looked stained with mildew. When we brought this to the attention of the front desk we were told we could try flushing the tub ourselves and that they would send housekeeping through again, which made no difference. I shared the above with photos via the hotel text messages we received during our stay and received no response. Overall we were disappointed, and with so many other options in Carmel we will look for other accommodations next time.
