The Morgan Hotel San Simeon

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of April. We stayed in the main building, on the second floor with a view of the sea. Unfortunately there is no elevator here, but the friendly gentleman at reception immediately carried a suitcase upstairs for me, for which I would like to thank him once again. On the second floor the Wi-Fi is unfortunately very poor, my recommendation is to go to the first floor near the lounge where breakfast is served, the internet is fantastic there. The room and bathroom were very, very clean, the bed was in good condition and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. The only small criticism is that it is an old hotel where you can unfortunately hear the neighbors because of the thin walls. I have to say a word about the air conditioning: I've never seen such an antique model, I guess the air conditioning is from the sixties. I couldn't put it into operation, I didn't succeed, but it wasn't really necessary, we had 20° in the room. The breakfast was sufficient, we would stay here again at any time.

There was a beautiful view! The water pressure was excellent, and there is great breakfast service! This stay was one of the best places I have ever stayed at! The rooms were quite clean, obviously there was great customer service, would stay here again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Place is nice and clean. Parking is legit and secure. WiFi ready. Great views. And the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are well equipped. I had an easy stay and I’m certainly coming back. It was great all around and I recommend it for sure.

Lovely romantic spot. You can hear the ocean out your window and depending on the location of your room you can see the sea and beautiful sunsets. Very little light pollution in this area makes star gazing delightful compared to most cities in Ventura county and certainly LA county. Got lots of great shots of birds of prey and egrets today as well as gigantic elephant seals and their cute lil pudgy babies. Plenty of beautiful trails and beaches in the vicinity with not much crowds especially on weekdays in the winter time. Bundle up for a brisk nighttime walk. Pro tip: Fire pits at a nearby hotel that nobody regulates or cares if you enjoy just a few minutes walk along the coast. John, the usual front desk man is a delightful fellow and part of the reason this is our third visit, and will certainly be back.

The Morgan is a great hotel. The staff is friendly, make you feel like family. The rooms are clean and very inviting. The continental breakfast is the best. You have different breads, fresh fruit, hot and cold cereals, variety of teas, coffee is always hot, bagels, muffins, yogurt, hard boiled eggs and even fresh waffles. I would never call that continental breakfast, it is a breakfast.
