Residence Inn by Marriott Camarillo

We stayed here as we were attending a wedding in the area. Although this wasn’t our first choice, this hotel suited our needs perfectly. The hotel was clean and the front desk staff was super accommodating. Our room was clean and large, allowing us relax prior to the wedding. There are lots of dining and shopping options in the area. We’ll definitely stay here if we’re in the area again.

When I checked in, I met Rene who was friendly and had a great sense of humor! I stayed for a night and left an item in my room which I retrieved the following day, which Housekeeping staff/ Maria had placed in the lost and found. I don't know Maria's last name, and I want to thank her here!

During our recent stay at the Residence Inn in Camarillo CA, we found the facility to be less than acceptable. After checking in and showering after our flight, my wife found that the hair dryer (which is a stated amenity) was not in the room. Upon notification to the front desk, they finally delivered the hair dryer to the room, but it was well after my wife’s hair was already dry. While there is coffee off the lobby in the morning, we were up early and wanted to make coffee in the room; unfortunately, while there were packets of coffee in the room, there was not a coffee pot. And during our stay, we killed two cockroaches and one spider in our room, each of which were delivered to the front desk at two separate times; their response each time was “oh … we’re so sorry about that”. No action taken … just a placating insincere apology. They boast about a sanitary hygienic cleaning of each of their rooms, but that clearly was not the case. Our bathroom floor had spotting around the toilet that appeared to be dried urine spots, but perhaps just a poor mopping; nonetheless, we mopped it up ourselves with one of the bath towels and cleaners. And we can’t responsibly complain about the noise in the hallway after 11:00PM because we did not report it, but clearly they do not enforce the rules of courtesy that are posted upon check-in.

We had a great stay here. We received an upgrade to a two bedroom suite even as a lowly Gold Elite. It was a treat to have two bathrooms and three rooms. The television in the master suite was not working, but it didn’t affect us as we had three televisions in the suite. The bed was comfortable and the morning breakfast was good. The workout room was a good size and had treadmills, free weights and a single exercise bike, which I used and it worked well. I would stay here again when I’m in the area.
