Econo Lodge I 5 At Rt. 58 Buttonwillow CA

The front desk was very nice and helpful, but the rooms are scary and filthy. Our towels were dirty. The shower leaked and the bed was horribly made. The place is atrocious and shouldn't even be open. It's not the brand I would associate a Best Western with. I've stayed at plenty of their properties and this one should not be affiliated with them. It needs a complete remodel. The shower looked filthy. Stained and the walls and baseboards were full of crap. There were cobwebs on the outside lights and on the stairwells.

Did an overnight here. Wish I didn't. Fairly rude desk people. Small, cramped room. No breakfast - not even grab and go type. Old beds. Office closes down in the evening. I'm not sure why this chain would want this motel in their group.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! Stay anywhere before choosing this dump. When we got to the room, the air conditioner frame was lying on the carpet, three of four lights (including both nightstand lights) did not work, the toilet was unflushed, wires were sticking out of the ceiling where a smoke detector should have been (this has to be a serious safety violation) and it was mildly clean at best. They have posted a sign of absolutely NO refunds at the offrice which, based on the horrid condition of the place, felt like entrapment. Nonetheless, we couldn't stay the night.

This is the place where they make horror movies, there were people drinking all around the property, definitely has murder vibes. Room connected with other rooms from within which was not made clear beforehand.

It is hard to list all the issues. Sheets did not fit beds, shower controls did not work - no hot water. Centipede found in one of the beds - 3 inches long and alive. No outlet cover on outlet in use. 1 chair for two rooms - open connection between rooms. Wall in bathroom with obvious serious water problem/damage. One smoke detector removed, the other hanging from the ceiling. Had to "shoulder" the entrance door open. Security lock not secured to door - screws loose and falling out. No bedside table in one room. No phone. No radio. 2 sets of towels for room(s) with 4 beds. Maids did best they could with conditions. Parking lot has huge potholes and probably not resurfaced in 20 years. Go anywhere else. This place is a DUMP! I am a BW Rewards member and stay in nothing but Best Westerns - But not this one ever again! If I could go lower than a 1, I would.
