Townhouse Motel

The room is simply, but nothing to miss in. New Bathroom, the shower works very good, big Table, very useful, especially for our Kids for dinner! Comfortable beds. We had a big help from the owner, for a forgotten item. Can't be more thankful!!

The property is very run-down and dirty. There was trash, broken appliances, broken furniture, nasty cigarette butts and dirty construction debrish everywhere. The place is dilapidated. The side walks were dirty with unknown stuff spilled everywhere. The room was filthy - the carpet was stained, the walls were dirty, the furniture was falling apart and the only chair in the room was stained. The bathroom mirror was barely attached to the wall with 1 1/4 clips and was about to fall off, the hair dryer was so dirty I thought the cord was gray and it was actually white once I wiped it down. The good: location, tv and refrigerator worked. I won't be back.

Slightly cheaper than other places in town but still cost $185 NZD. Older style motel with parking outside room. Had pool which looked clean but didn't use. Room was good size, older furniture but clean, one stain on bedsheet, bathroom had been updated, good shower pressure. Fridge in room. Offered breakfast, cereal and toast, juice and coffee, sufficient for our needs. Street appeal for this motel is not great, but could be improved by cleaning up a bit. We had an old, used, metal cooler bin and trash bin outside our room and an old bag of cement powder on the path to the office. There were numerous other items that could easily be removed to help this motel look better. Overall a satisfactory but over priced stay.

A traveling retired ski bum like me balks at paying $400/night to stay at Mammoth when I can get a room for a bit over $100 in Bishop an hour away. One has to be careful when staying at less-expensive motels - they can be nasty and are often a crapshoot. Not so here! The rooms aren't very big, but mine was totally fine. Flat-screen TV, microwave, refrigerator, comfortable bed, and quiet. Very clean and no smell. Many restaurants and stores within walking or easy driving distance. I would gladly stay here again.

Beds are poor walls thin and it has a musty odor in the rooms. The outsides littered with bundles of shingles debris and refuse that show they’ve been there a while. Shingles are missing off the roof and the front desk is rarely open. Stay elsewhere the fan in room is noisy
