SureStay Hotel by Best Western Ukiah

We took a road trip from San Francisco to Fort Braggs and stopped 1 night in Ukiah ,stayed at this Sure Stay by Best Western for 1 night. .The hotel was nice ,right off the 101. For the price the room was super spacious, clean and the floor had no carpet ,which I really like. The front desk staff ,young woman, spoke Spanish and was very helpful with us about the town history. etc

Don't stay here. Filthy hotel, horrible experience. Staff does not speak clear English. This place should be closed down. Breakfast is not a full breakfast like the person told us when making reservation. And the baby muffins tasted funny as did the bread.

Gave our visit a "5" for the room - price, cleanliness, supplies and amenities (did not check for a pool). Our room also looks recently renovated with paint, flooring and sink/countertops. There was a detailed survey that I completed following our stay and I hope they take my new reno recommendations to heart as I found the location of the bathroom door, sink and clothes rack in an awkward potentially hazardous position. I am a person who wants small businesses to do well! I did not participate in the breakfast that was included with the price of the room (I have a special diet: whole foods, plant based, minimally processed). They offered Eggo type waffles, coffee, bag tea, packaged add ins, mini muffins, 2 types of store bought pastry, raisin bran, cheerios, milk and yoplait type yogurt.

Stayed here on August 23, 2024. First, this is a 'motel' with access to rooms on via the parking lot. The rooms have been remodeled and for the prices are good. There is no longer a full breakfast, just a few bread items and coffee. There were 2 bananas, but they had been there awhile. I would stay here again if passing through. The employee at check in was great, the one at check out was not. Management should spend some time coaching staff on behavior to patrons.

Although I've never had a problem with a Best Western in the past, I would not recommend this location - our room felt cold and unwelcoming (no carpet, no window in the 2nd room), staff was not friendly and the breakfast was not good at all...ended up having to go out for breakfast on our own.
