Acqua Hotel

I can't say enough good things about the Acqua. Super accommodating and they made my special day even more memorable. Yes, you're right off the highway, but the views on the back side are stunning, of Mount Tam and Richardson Bay, not to mention sunset. The landscaping is gorgeous, especially with spring flowers in bloom. Parking is free and easy. Love all the treats, from the wine and cheese reception (so many choices) to breakfast. Warm cookies are delish and the coffee / tea bar is well-stocked. Staffers were very kind. They seem happy and said it's a nice place to work, which is always good to hear. If you opt for it, the soaking tub is fantastic (don't miss the bath salt packet in the toiletry area!). Super comfy bed, fireplace was also so cozy. A wonderful local getaway!

THE PERFECT HOTEL to tour San Francisco and the area. Wine reception in the evening, cookies before bed, a wonderful breakfast with made to order cappachino. Staff and service were top notch. Comfy beds. Close to the city but not crowded as it is up near Sausalito. A quick trip across the Golden Gate Bridge to Fusherman's Wharf and the Cable Car. We did a Brudge Cruise and it was great. Very near Muir Woods.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was spotlessly clean and had a large bathroom with a separate shower. The terrace opened out onto a great view. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were really good quality. Lots of choice for breakfast and the complimentary cheese and wine from 5-7pm was a nice touch. Parking was easy and free! The hotel is next to a fast main road but this wasn’t a problem. The rooms face away with a lovely view and you don’t notice any traffic noise. Excellent value for money compared to other hotels locally. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice place to spend the night since it is very clean and offers some extras. Our 2 queen room overlooked the bay so even though the hotel is located just off of the freeway, it didn’t seem that way. The room had all we needed for the night and the beds were comfy. The shower had really good water pressure. Their afternoon wine and cheese was really nice and gave us a chance to talk with other guests. Their free breakfast was phenomenal— probably the best free breakfast I’ve ever had with real eggs, frittata, waffles, fresh fruit and pastries. This stay is was a spur of the moment decision so I’m glad it worked out well.

We booked online and got a confirmation number. We then booked our house sitter. My wife called them and asked if it was possible for our favorite room. They put the request in. A few minutes later we got a call and said they had overbooked and the room type we booked was not available any more on those dates. That was that. I feel for loyal guests this was very bad treatment.
