Homewood Suites by Hilton La Quinta

Warning: If you're looking for a mid-priced hotel in the Palm Springs area, look elsewhere! For $360 we expected much more. The room was dusty. There were no sheets or blankets on the pull-out bed. Both beds sagged in the middle. We were told that there was a full kitchen but that's wasn't the case. The air conditioning only went down to 68, not enough to cool the room adequately. One would hope that a hotel cares enough to provide a good night's sleep. Not this one. After all, what you're paying for is a comfortable room to sleep in. That was not provided. It's becoming readily apparent that this chain and Hilton overall have seen better days. It's time to take our business elsewhere.

This hotel is fabulous. It’s clean and offers great amenities like a pool, breakfast, free parking and a small store. It’s an easy drive to the South (Cottonwood) entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. We had a king room with balcony. It was a great size with separate sitting area, chairs and table on the balcony and a dishwasher, stovetop microwave and full fridge. They thought of all the amenities like coffee and creamers, extra trash bags, an unopened paper towel roll and more! I didn’t go to the pool but it looked nice. Become a Hilton member and you can pick the location of your room, which I love. Also the digital key and super easy digital checkin and out. A great place to stay in La Quinta!!

Great place to stay! Beds are comfy, free breakfast food is wonderful and plentiful. Pool is lovely and heated. Clean and staff are great. Pets allowed but were never a bother to other guests. The elevator was rarely busy and laundry on site was great!

Accommodations were excellent! Beds comfy, lots of room for two of us, Right on the edge of Old Town La Quinta. Perfect! We walked to everything we needed. Two free cocktails or drink of your choice between 5:30 and 7:00. Our bartender was Scott and you couldn't find a friendly chap.

If this is the top hotel in LQ I would hate to see #2. The staff was friendly but the halls smell like hospital disinfectant, the bed was old and had no support, and there was black mildew in the worn out shower. Kind of a rough, institutional vibe. Did the job but I'll find a newer property next time. I did not raise issues to the manager since I was there for one night and just got on with it.
