Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Carlsbad

Traveling for business, the Courtyard San Diego Carlsbad met all our needs in terms of comfort, guest experience, and service. The Conference Space and Food and Beverage arrangements were perfect for our Client Meetings. The staff went were attentive to all our requests and went above and beyond! Will be returning in the near future.

The property is located in an industrial area of Carlsbad, surrounded by Palomar Airport Road and the Carlsbad airport. Even rooms back to Palomar Airport Road and odd rooms back to the parking lot, overlooking the airport. It appears there was a remodel done in the last few years, however, it overlooked some serious details. The window in my room (335) was seriously old and in need of replacement. There are no screens on the window, and they are locked so they only open about 2 inches. The bathroom fan sounded like a military helicopter taking off, so I was not able to use it. I was not a fan of the black and dark gray color scheme used in the design. It gave the room a dark and depressing feel. Additionally, some soundproofing is seriously needed here – as I could hear the person snoring in the room next to me. The pluses are the staff. They were all great – very friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well kept. I did not have a chance to use the pool or the fitness room. Unfortunately, there is no hot tub at this property. Also, unfortunately, they charge $15 a night to park. I only stayed one night, but I can say that for the prices they charge the rooms should be better.

Nice hotel close to Legoland. Many restaurants in the area. Comfy rooms. Good price for your money. Restaurant has small selections for breakfast and dinner. Allows pets. Parking is free. Pool small but ok. Lobby has sitting area with tv's showing children's movies and one for adults.

Great location. Close good eateries. Close drive to downtown Carlsbad. Legoland and Premium Outlets is a short drive.Hotel staff is very friendly and personable. Hotel is quiet with a relaxing atmosphere. I recommend staying here for your next venture to north county.

Nice property with great customer service. Stayed here for one night with my husband and two small kiddos (1 and 5). The property is situated among some business buildings and off the main road. Upon arrival, Sydney was super kind and helpful letting us know we could check in early. We were given a room on the third floor with a balcony overlooking the pool. The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool was advertised as heated to 82 degrees but it didn't feel like it. It'd be nice to take advantage of that during the warmer months. Breakfast was included and it wasn't great but it worked. You could select from four items - oatmeal, breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich and cereal. Our stay was good and it's nice hotel - we'd come back if we needed a place to stay in the area.
