Cielo Hotel Bishop Mammoth Ascend Hotel Collection

Jessica the front desk clerk is awesome and very helpful. She and other staff members are always friendly and welcoming . When ever I have any issues they always rush to fix the issue. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the property is always maintained clean.

I paid over $170 with tax and hotel service fee (???). I tried to pay for the room with a $200 VISA gift card, but the young woman at the front desk said my credit card had already been charged. The next morning, I found out that wasn't true, but the staff wasn't sure how to charge the gift card, and I didn't want to wait around for the manager, so I put the charge on my regular card. (On my return trip, the Dow Villa in Lone Pine had no problem with the gift card.) I didn't know the layout of the building beforehand, which is on me. Parking spaces surround the hotel building, and there is no pool or green space to sit outside. It is not strictly necessary, but it would have been nice. The room itself was clean but on the small side. The bathroom was cramped. The toilet crowds the room. You must lean over or sit on the toilet to use the sink. The landscape photos decorating the walls were nice, but the overall feeling of the room was that the designer used furniture from Ikea. The bed was fine. The TV controls are unnecessarily complicated. I lost the signal and had to ask the desk clerk to fix it. The refrigerator was tiny and not cold. The next morning, the coffee maker wouldn't work, so I had to go to the lobby for coffee. All in all, the experience was just OK. It wasn't the worst hotel I've stayed at, but not the best.

This motel is just adequate, and not worth the extra money to stay there. The hotel is worn. The breakfast was only yogurt, and bagels and coffee. The satellite tv did not work. The sheets were pilled. But the bed was comfortable.there are lots of other less expensive hotels to choose from. We thought because it was Ascend property it would be lovely. Not.

Great budget place in Bishop. Comfy bed. Basic continental breakfast included. No elevator. Make sure you do not stay next to the ice machine, it’s loud. When I mentioned it at checkout they refunded us $10 and apologized. We would stay here again, it’s right on Main st downtown.

We stayed for one night on a road trip to the Russian River Valley. It's a Good Location to walk to places for food and such. Bishop, Ca is not that big. The room was large, but the bathroom was super small.. see picture. They definitely were not thinking when they made the bathroom spaces. The shower is a bit strange, but for one night it was fine. Check-in was fast. have a video of the entire room but it won't take it to upload.
