Quality Inn On Historic Route 66

We are on our honeymoon. We arrived at 6:00 PM and were assigned a room on the ground floor, next to the parking lot… the worst possible one. The door doesn’t close properly, and you can hear every car that passes by. The room is next to a hallway used by everyone, and due to the poor insulation of the door, you can hear all the conversations. The bathroom ceilings are low, and in my case, you hit your head on the ceiling, making the shower unusable. The mattress makes noise with the slightest movement, which shows that it’s old and should be replaced. We definitely won’t be coming back…

Easy registration, nice room with all amenities. Good breakfast choices off menu in adjoining restaurant with wait service all inclusive. Center of complex has a park like atmosphere. Only problem we found was a large group that apparently had many smokers were smoking right outside our door because there was a large ashtray sitting in front of the room next to us and the smoke filtered in through our door in the morning! I don't know if someone moved the ash tray and chairs their from the park area or how it all got there, but management should have signs on the building that no smoking should be near room doors. Not good if you have asthma!

Friendly front staff, clean rooms, nice ambience and good location. BF starts only at 6.30 am. We had to leave early so did not try. Hotel frontage provides a very scenic ambience. Rooms are well appointed and maintained well. Will definitely stay again

We stayed here for one night. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing that was weird is that the bed made a loud metallic sound when you sat down on it. I forgot to check it before we left the room to find out why it was making that sound. Warning to those planning physical activity. The shower needs a guard rail for safety. The adjacent Mexican restaurant has an extensive menu and excellent service. The waiter put chips and salsa on the table just as we were sitting down. They were also able to make me a mojito cocktail - something that many restaurants in Tucson (where we live) can’t manage to do.

This is an older motel along Rt66. It’s in good condition and is clean and quiet. Other major chain hotels in Barstow are right next to the major highways and are loud all night long. I like getting a room facing the courtyard and pool area. The attached Mexican restaurant Los Domingos has great food. You get a dinner discount and breakfast there is included with the room rate.
