Stay away at all cost. We arrived from the East coast late. The day before we called and told them we were arriving late and to hold our room. You guessed it, they gave our room away and downgraded us. 1. Noise - this hotel is not appropriate for business travel. The speedway highway is loud and keeps you up all night. We are professionals giving lectures for UA medical school. We were not able to sleep and if we did not have this obligation to give the lectures we would have left early. 2. Cleanliness: there is no cleaning service unless you stay for 5 days. We stayed for 3 days. No vacuuming, wiping down counters etc. They change your sheets, give you water (which they forgot for us) and change towels. The headboard has weird scratches and stains. If you are ok with gross, disgusting and smelly rooms this is the hotel for you. 3. Staff: the staff is friendly but they cannot help you. 4. Amenities: Pool is gross, lobby is nasty, business office nothing works, the bar is ok and food is nonexistent. In summary: If you are traveling for business or you are a professional traveling please use another hotel. This hotel is inappropriate for your stay. I am Marriott Bonvoy member and will have to reconsider staying in Marriott hotels. Lesson learnt is that I need to do my due diligence research before I stay in a Marriott chain again as this has shown me they lack consistency.

We stayed here for the University of Arizona's family weekend. I did not want to stay here based on the TripAdvisor reviews. It was not as bad as I was expecting. You pull up and it is on a busy road (Speedway), with a bus stop and Tucson's finest citizens at the bus stop (not) so I was really really wary walking in. The lobby is bright and spacious, it's not super nice, but it was clean and big. They have a big area with a selection of drinks/snacks for purchase. At night, there is an area that becomes a bar and supposedly the free breakfast is decent but we never tried it. Pool is dumpy but there is a pool. I will stay the staff was really nice, helpful and friendly. I asked for a quiet room so we didn't hear any of the Speedway noise. We didn't hear any hallway noise either and it was a big party weekend. We slept fine. We found the room to be spacious and clean. Housekeeping is every other day but they did bring more towels and water on request obviously. It's not as convenient for walking to and from UofA and University Avenue as some of the popular hotel options. However, my husband and I walked down the Greek row street so that made it a pleasant walk back to the hotel after hitting the bars with our son and his friends. It look us about 20-25 minutes to walk to and from University Ave. It was not a horrible walk and it was nice to get the steps. Overall, I would say if you want a hotel where you can walk to and from campus/University Ave, and the others are booked, this one fits the bill but just lower your expectactions, epsecially on the surrounding area. Highlight - great bagel place next door, Chipotle and Coldstone across the street, Dirtbags is within walking, super close to Greek row and the stadium.

I was charged on my card $250 dollars for smoking in the room. Stay away. I did not smoke in the room. They did not have any evidence of smoking in the room. I did not authorize the use of this card. This hotel did not have extensive cleaning related to no one smoking in the room. Aloft hotel took my money without my permission.

I’m a Marriott Bonvoy Member and stay In Marriott properties often. Stayed here with my husband to help move my daughter in to an apartment for grad school. The property was ok on cleanliness. They only clean the room every other day. Charged is 10 dollars a day for parking and the lot is completely empty! The location is convenient but it is alongside a major thoroughfare and across from a hospital so the noise all night was terrible!!! Worse then staying in NYC! We ended up checking out two days early because we couldn’t sleep.

Stayed here two nights for a college tour. The hallways and room had a funky smell and the ceiling in our room looked like it was installed to cover something up above it. My daughter’s headboard had some unidentifiable red stains on it and the bed sheets seemed to just be slapped on with no care to smooth out or fully tuck in. The bathroom is designed in a way that if you close the door fully for privacy it turns the light off because the switch is literally on the wall the sliding door closes into. But the part that made me crazy - we didn’t sleep well either night. The amount of street noise was unbearable. It’s somewhat of a main drag and ALL night (and I mean all night until daylight) there were people revving their car and motorcycles so loud driving by that it almost felt intentional. Not to mention the amount of sirens up and down that street. Like there’s no insulation and just cheap windows to keep the outside noise out. I had to put my noise cancelling AirPods in with white noise and even then I could still hear it. If you’re looking for convenience and budget to college tour and can tolerate it, go for it. We won’t stay again.
