La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Phoenix Mesa West

An older hotel with some improvements. A bit high priced, but given the area and market, probably in line with other hotels in the area. Because of age, there are a number of things not really up to snuff. Might check out other hotels in the area next time.

The room was huge and the bed was extra comfortable! The breakfast was wonderful and the service was equally as pleasing. They are pup friendly, which adds to our decision to come back in the future. We will definitely be back on our next drive through Phoenix!

La Quinta was very nice hotel. The staff did a very good job and the breakfast was wonderful. I have stayed at this property before and I will do it again. I was forced to use 200 characters in my review and I was 50 character short so, blah, blah, blah.

The positive: Staff were all helpful and nice. Location is good. The room was in good shape. Parking lot was fine. The negative: - A three night stay and the internet was down the entire first day so WiFi didn't connect to anything. - Day 3 the elevator nearest the lobby was out of order so had to walk to the far end, and walk the length of the building. - The breakfast area looks like they took a typical lobby and added tables and serving stations in order to be competitive. Day 1 there was hot food, yogurt, muffins and bagels. Days 2 and 3, no yogurt or muffins. The waffle machine worked 2 of the 3 days. I might be wrong; but, no tea in the lobby or in my room. - Used the gazebo to make phone calls and the railing on the steps was super rickety and not safe.

The pillows were like old rags rolled up. The elevator took 5 mins at least per ride. Ran out of towels so we hade to use our dirty ones. Pool towels were like dish towels. Ice maker didbt work on our floor. There were little flies in the other ice maker. Key cards never work the first time. I left my glasses on the night table called within hours to report and they are gone. I only wear contacts outdoors so they were there. I am out $400. Ensure nothing is left behind as you will never see it again. Won’t be back.
