While there are a number of hotel around Paso, only a few are within 1 block of the main downtown square. Piccolo is relatively new and has a great set up. Our room was clean, quiet and had plenty of space with a nice bathroom. The hotel has a nice courtyard with firepits and bikes to use, and a rooftop with a bar and lounge area. Our rate had included breakfast, which is served in the lobby (the same area is used on most evenings for free local wine tastings as well- a nice touch). Breakfast is relatively basic with yogurt/fruit, small quiches, pastries, and some gourmet toasts. typical breakfast beverages are present as well. Our first day it was pretty picked over and not that well serviced, but the other two days it was well stocked and serviced. The hotel has free valet parking, but we were always able to find free street parking near the hotel easily. Thoughtfully, each room has an empty wine fridge so you can store all of your purchases! Overall, it's a great place to stay with nice rooms, a fun rooftop, and a great location. If you are going to PR, the Piccolo should be high on your list of places to book!

The hotel is appears newish, and is quiet, cozy, comfortable, well appointed, and well maintained. The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. The location is great; lots of stores, coffee, shops, wine tasting, and restaurants within close walking distance. The hotel offers valet parking for free, but we found parking spots right in front of the hotel without any problem. There may be other good places to stay in Paso, but this is where we will be staying next time we visit.

They cancelled my room even tho I had a confirmation number. They offered no explanation at all and said they were totally booked. We went back the next day just to see if someone else could help us understand what happened and they said they would check into it but we never heard anything back.

When planning a Central Coast getaway for Thanksgiving week, the accommodations choice for Paso Robles was easy...A return visit to The Piccolo! This small and quaint boutique hotel is located right in the middle of everything! The best restaurants, lounges and clubs are minutes away (when you actually want to leave the hotel...). Our pre-arrival requests were addressed and we received a warm welcome by Cammie at the front desk. We also had the pleasure this visit to meet Martin Beckett, Director of Hospitality. You can see why the Piccolo staff is so enthusiastic and accommodating...It starts at the top! The rooms are configured in a way that make them feel larger than they are (I say that as an Architect...) and there is always a welcome treat and lovely bottle of wine waiting for you. A plentiful breakfast buffet is offered every morning and does not disappoint. We are currently searching for our next home in Paso but for now...The Piccolo feels like home to us. Highly recommended! PS...Already planning our next visit this spring...Can't wait!

Housekeeping-Terrible. Upon arrival a sheet was missing. Next day our 1/2 full dirty coffee cups in the room were not replaced. Amenities-I can't recall the last time I stayed in a room that didn't have cotton swabs. The pillows were awful (solid piece of cotton or foam, not shredded for flexibility). Room-Reasonably spacious. No art on room walls. Cheap furnishings, nightstand didn't sit level unless it was moved too far from the bed. Nice clock. Closet had about a one foot rod to hang garments. Limited electrical outlets. There was a Keurig coffee maker, but bring your own coffee pods (I didn't like theirs). Luckily the has Casting available to the TV. Hospitality-Valet staff kept this from being a one star rating. They were great! The front staff were meh. One of the gals spoke so quickly that I had trouble understanding her. When I complained about housekeeping, all I got was "I'm sorry, I will note it," but didn't ask the room number or my name. Value-At $600 per night on Friday and Saturday, I expected much more. Better pillows, ironed sheets (appears they use "no wrinkle sheets, but they had wrinkles and looked slept in upon check-in). Concierge-They recommended we eat at Parchetto Bistro. It was OK, but didn't live up to the hype. Also we received three separate texts from the hotel at inopportune times to welcome us.
