Pros: Attentive staff, Nice view from our room of the shopping mall and mountains. Clean room. Breakfast was good. Chocolate chip cookies place out in the evening. Bagged lunches if you miss breakfast. Cons: Pillows were not comfortable. The 4th floor ice machine was out of order. Elevators were noisy.

I really did not want to leave such a negative review but after submitting my request for management to reach out directly and still not hearing back two weeks later, I feel travelers should be aware... I'm a Yuma native who hadn't been "home" in 9 years. I usually always stay at the Springhill Suites across the street and ultimately is where we ended up after cancelling our second night and checking out after night one. First night, after an 11 hour drive from the Bay Area we were simply too tired to change/switch rooms but there were staples sticking out of the bathtub, tub was not clean. Absolutely no insulation/weatherstripping to cancel noise from hallway, could see shadows, light etc coming in from hallway. Weatherstripping was literally hanging off. Toilet was clogged when we arrived, was clogged again following morning and while requesting a room change, several other guests came down to advise of their clogged toilets as well so clearly a widespread plumbing issue for which they had the maintenance person running back and forth from room to room with a plunger for quick fixes. When asking to change rooms, was told it would be 30 minutes because THAT toilet was also clogged and the maintenance man needed to fix but had to wait because he was fixing other guests toilets at which point I stated we would simply check out and requested we not be charged for the second night. The first night was so bad I left my teenage (19 & 17) daughters and left to go stay at a family members home across town and they advised the beds were so saggy and worn that they did not sleep at all. I would like a refund as I think a motel 6 would have been a better stay. We checked out and went across the street on Thanksgiving Day to a newly renovated welcoming clean and updated stay with working plumbing at the Springhill Suites for about $20 more. Definitely do not try to save pennies and waste your time here, but if basic amenities and a decent nights sleep aren't big on your list of hotels, by all means give a shot. I cannot and will not recommend.

Cynthia at the front desk was wonderful! I checked in just after 4:00 p.m. and she was so pleasant and helpful. I requested a "front facing" (east side) room with a mountain view (the west or back side faces a retaining wall and the back of a business upslope, so no view there and when I stayed on that side before, the trash pickup truck was very close with lots of loud beeping). Once I got to my room, I called down to ask if pool/hot tub towels were at the front desk or available out by the pool/hot tub. She said they had them out by the pool and then she went and checked to make sure there were plenty still ready. The free breakfast was also very nice. Good stay. I did hear a few motorcycles going down the side road just to the north of the hotel, but it was otherwise very quiet. This is my go to hotel when I'm in Yuma.

The front desk clerk, Destiny, was amazing to work with. We arrived super early from the East cost and she did everything to get us into our rooms. Destiny and the Manager, were both so nice and accommodating. The rooms are very clean, the staff has been very welcoming and I will stay here again when I come back!

Our experience at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Yuma, AZ was exceptional!!! From the time we stepped in through the doors, we were greeted with friendly staff from the front desk, to the hot breakfast hostess to the house cleaning personal, it truly was pleasurable! The beds and pillows were comfortable, the breakfasts were hot and delicious and we enjoyed the evening cookies set out in the front lobby. We would like to give special recognition to Destinee who was very accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. She helped us check-in after we abruptly left a nearby hotel that we were supposed to stay in. She listened to our concerns as to why we left the other hotel and came here, and provided us with compassion and a sense of belonging. Thank You Destinee for the 6 out of 9 evenings that we were there during your shifts. We would also like to extend a thank you to Lety. She too was accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. Both her smile and Destinee's smile made you feel welcome. Another thank you goes to Enrique, who helped us with checking in and providing us with an extended stay price. To each of you, we believe you are truly an asset to the Hampton Inn & Suites in Yuma, AZ. Keep up the smiles and the great hospitality!!! Thank You, Gwen & Cec Failler (Stay Feb 25 - March 5, 2024).
