Ventana Canyon Club and Lodge

FIrst, I'll say this resort has a ton of potential. It's in a beautiful location, the landscaping is wonderful, the pool and pickleball/tennis courts are great, the beds are comfortable, and the golf course is nice. Overall, service was good too. There are some major reasons I wouldn't return however. We had a loft room near the main entrance and 2 of the nights of our stay there was an event or prom in the lobby area. The music was so loud, that we had to turn up the TV in our room and my kids could still hear the music. No one was going to bed before 11pm that night, and then the teardown sounded like someone was moving for the next hour. If you stay here, confirm there are no events scheduled. Second, we really felt like we were second class after club members. People who stay in the lodge can't eat in one of the restaurants, typically can't play tennis or pickle ball until after the members are done, and can't play on one of the golf courses - which we learned after someone tried to direct my family to the members only course earlier than our tee time. Finally, pets are welcome, which you'll only know by the stains on the carpet. All in all, our vacation was OK, but we'll find somewhere else next time.

What a great place to stay in Tucson. Great staff, enormous immaculate rooms and wonderful facilities. The 8 lane 25m swimming pool is heavenly for swimmers and the tennis courts are in fantastic shape. Thanks for providing such a wonderful home from home.

Beautiful Lodge ruined by undisclosed $30 per day resort fee. Hate resort fees and would never have booked here if I knew about the resort fees. At $30 per day additional fee, the pricing is not reasonable despite pretty location. Front desk also gave me inaccurate check out info with no resort fees disclosed until I left and then had over $250 charged to my CC. Terrible way to do business.

Throughout my entire stay, there was no hot water, only warm. Additionally, the internet in the hotel room was frustratingly slow, making it difficult to get any work done or even stream a movie. I hope they can address these problems for future guests.

Great location beautiful grounds excellent staffing. Our room unfortunately was a 1st floor room and the sound deadening was very poor heard every foot step the people above us made. Restaurant was great service and food very good. Had a day of rain before we played golf so did not get to use pool but looked very nice Golf was over priced. Course in great shape but have paid half as much to play magnificent courses in Michigan,Wisconsin,Utah, Montana even Ca. That being said the staff was very nice and course was fun.
