Ramada by Wyndham Viscount Suites Tucson East

The room I was in showed a lot of wear, rotted door in bathroom with some rusted hardware - but for the rate I paid, this was kind of expected. Not all lamps worked and hard to find when arriving at night. We slept well and the comp breakfast was unbelievable.

It was a great stay. The staff is excellent. Andrew at the front desk was helpful even before we got there as I had to call in and tell him a bad accident closed the freeway and we were going to be much later than we thought. Then we had an issue with a door knob and I reported it - before I could get back to the room to tell my husband that Maintenance would be coming there was a knock on the door and Jerry was there and fixed it in a snap - great teamwork. The Wilbur’s Grill staff is efficient and friendly. Great attitudes all around.

This hotel was poorly maintained, blinds were broken, the tile in the shower was mildewed, several lights didn't work. The worst was when we pulled out the mattress of the couch sofa, there was a pile of crumpled, dirty sheets and popcorn inside the mattress. It clearly had not been cleaned. I rarely write negative reviews, but this was one of the worst hotel stays I've ever had. Positives were that the breakfast was good and it was conveniently located.

Drug paraphernalia (pills, bag of cocaine, spoon, etc.) left in room along with car keys. The desk had some type of sticky liquid left on it. Heating system did not work, safety latch was torn off door, plumbing was very slow. Condition of room indicates it was no cleaned at all or by uninterested staff. The front desk clerk was excellent was very good as was the service and food in the restaurant.

Oh boy. A big disappointment for a Wyndham hotel. It is currently being renovated room by room. The furniture and rugs were worn and spotted, and construction debris was on the floor and the bed in our first room. Switched to another that didn't feel well-cleaned either, but was an improvement. The staff seemed pretty indifferent to our concerns.
