Graduate by Hilton Tempe

First off, it appears Tempe hotels are all overpriced. It’s the middle of the desert, so I don’t get it. Anyway, this hotel also charges $15/night for parking. Fees amount to $35/night. The TV does not have any smart capabilities, just basic cable. The showers have a loud pump that sounds like a jackhammer, whether in your room or your neighbor’s. The A/C system blows right at the bed. And the in-room coffee sucks. But the hotel is relatively clean, so that’s nice.

Although the Hotel could use some updates and a little extra cleaning, the Friendly Staff at The Front Desk and Bar & Restaurant totally make up for any negatives. They will make you feel Welcome and Accomodated! Definitely was a Great Experience!

Rude front desk day shift staff. I arrived two hours early, hoping to check in and get some work done before a 4 pm appointment off site. Nope. I'm a diamond member with Hilton for the last 10 years. Every year I exceed their requirements for their top tier. It was no help at this hotel that requires a fee for early check in no matter the time before 4 pm you arrive. The room felt like an old down an out motel with broken lamps, dirty carpet, crooked pictures not affixed to the wall. I got back to the hotel at 830 pm and asked if my room was ready. It was. The evening staff couldn't have been nicer. The pool was cold and the hot tub not so hot but I was the only one there.

Cons: Underwhelming customer service not interested in providing a good experience, old, chipping paint, bubbling carpet, slow shower drain, paid unsecured parking, not up to Graduate Hotel standard based on stays in other cities. It’s an ancient hotel that they tried to spruce up but didn’t do a good job of it. Very disappointed in our stay relative to what we paid. Pro: mattress protector on bed.

First time staying at a Graduate! The service was more than OUTSTANDING by everyone at this hotel. A lot of the team members attend ASU and are just so hospitalable! Great job to the General Manager for being a great leader to these team members because every single one of them said they love working here and their team too! Great location, awesome staff, and loved everything about this hotel!
