Stagecoach 66 Motel

It was dirty. It smelled like pee and Pine-Sol. The shag carpet (who still has shag carpet in a hotel?) had balls of rabbit poo in it. (No lie, as there are feral rabbits outside the room on the common area. It smelled like weed and tobacco out on the common area due to coffee cans full of butts. OUTSIDE, in the fresh air, it smelled like the smoking area of an airport.) The room itslef was just nasty, the sheets had human hairs on them and the toilet had stains on the edge. Keep going down the interstate and stop somewhere decent. (I would have argued about this place but the grand-daughter who "checked me in" did not know if I'd paid or not and complained that she "doesn't normally deal with this stuff." It was late and I stayed, to avoid further hassle.) THIS IS A HARD "NO".

I thought this would be a great place being on the old Hwy 66. However, I was greatly disappointed. In a sentence this motel is worn-out, run-down, & dirty. First, they raised the price quoted on the phone. In addition the bed must have been purchased when the motel originally opened (sagged in the middle and uncomfortable). The unit had one towel and both the WiFi and TV did not work. When I asked for a $10 discount because of that, they denied it (even though these features were among those advertised). I would highly recommend that you avoid this very dingy motel.

If you are looking for a nice, clean, comfortable place to stay in Seligman Arizona, I would suggest the state coach service is great. Beds are comfortable room service is awesome and complementary breakfast. Best visit gravy I have ever had I give this place and their employees a five star rating we come here every year. Been coming here for the last 56 years for work and I’ve stayed here every time and I will continue to stay here. Thank you to the owners and employees at stage coach.

Dog friendly. Great mattress. Old and quirky. Clearly lots of work has been done. Fresh paint. Pizza joint on the property had great pizza and they sell wine and beer too. Great stop after a long days drive.

This motel was purchased a few months ago by new owners and they are trying, but our experience alone ought to warn you. I booked two king non smoking rooms back in June on their website. When we arrived, they did not have our reservations. It seems they’re having issues with they’re booking service. They found two king rooms for us. Ours was adequate, but my sister-in-law’s was a disaster. A cement floor and if was just dusty everywhere. They then moved them into a queen room (no more kings available). When she got into that one, it smelled of smoke in this non smoking room. They found her a third queen room that she could live with. Now we are on a three week trip with 21 different hotels and I kept track of who offered breakfast and who didn’t. I could swear that when I booked our rooms the reviews said there was breakfast. There is not any now. I could have been wrong. These new owners have a lot of work ahead of them if they want to stay in business. Every current in every one of the four rooms have holes in them. I would never stay here again.
