Amara Resort and Spa

We spent a couple of nights at Amara. The resort is located right at Uptown, close to all the restaurants and shops. The service was very friendly and everyone was helpful. The cons, it doesn’t have any views and the rooms are not worth the price we paid.

This resort is just a block or so off of the "Uptown" main street where the shops and restaurants are located. It's got a great restaurant with a tremendous view. The staff are real professionals, very friendly and warm. Highly recommended.

Way overpriced. Average place. MUCH smaller resort than one would think. The representatives that book the your trip over the phone and answer questions, have never been there, they are remote. The Valet and shuttle people are great. Food very average. Nickel and dime you to death with "Fees". I think everything in Sedona is expensive, but I would go somewhere else.

Overall a good experience at Amara. Glad we chose this hotel, as others I was considering are basically on the highway(s). This sits on Oak Creek, below street level next to Auberge. We had a creekside room with front facing creek view and balcony, very nice and quiet. This a small, boutique resort, not exactly 5 star but a pretty solid 4 star. Rooms very spacious and there is plenty of clothes storage, which is lacking at other hotels we have been at recently. Ate at hotel restaurant, Salt Rock for both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast items were wonderful, dinner was okay. Decent (if small) infinity edge pool was nice, with backdrop of trees/creek. Overall good choice as other options were much more expensive. We went with family (3 rooms) and this seemed to make sense.

Average resort with high end resort prices. Wasn't the value for the money. You could do better for what you pay there. Was also missing an exhaust fan in the bathroom, towel bar was uninstalled in the bathroom, sheets for the spare bed where delivered wet, value was attentive but still a hasel. Self parking was far away and discouraged. Friendly staff, resort was average, view of creek was nice and located near center of town.
