Amazing staff! Jackie and Breanna were both so helpful for our stay. The held our bags while we waited for our room so we could enjoy ourselves. They suggested amazing restaurants within walking distance. They met all of our requests. We loved it so much there we are going back in 4 days!

I was hesitant to write a negative review due to my friend works for the Hilton hotels but I could not in good faith deter unsuspecting travelers. My friends and I stayed in a double bed room on the 5th floor. The rooms were very small for what the rate is. My friend loves cappuccinos but the machine to make these was broken all weekend. Mind you this machine, which is located in the main bar area, services the whole hotel. We ate here for dinner one night and ordered the crispy chicken torta and gourmet grilled cheese. Both came with fries. The chicken tasted like a hockey puck it was so tough and the French fries were weirdly sweet which is not a good taste. For an apparently upscale hotel this was very disappointing. The pool area is on the 7th floor next to an outdoor bar and it would be nice, even though it’s small, if the hotel didn’t rent it out to non hotel guests. Every single day the pool was packed with screaming kids running through the bar area to get to the pool. One kid even hit another guest with a bouncy ball they were playing with. Why, for the life of me, would the hotel rent this small pool out to non hotel guests baffles my mind. Maybe for a few extra dollars? Classless.

We recently spent two nights at this hotel to celebrate a milestone birthday. Everything was top notch! Our room was spotless, well-appointed, quiet and thoughtfully laid out. Management graciously sent a lovely birthday greeting and huge tray of chips and variety of salsas to our room. What an unexpected, delightful surprise! Every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed cocktails at the rooftop bar with a fantastic view! On the last morning of our stay, we ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant. It was delicious! Our server (can't recall her name) went above and beyond with super friendly service and a smile. She deserves kudos from management! This hotel is beautifully appointed and thoughtfully arranged. It's located in Old Town Scottsdale proper and easily walkable to restaurants, museums, and shopping. We can't recommend this hotel highly enough and look forward to a return stay very soon!!

This hotel was a big disappointment. I paid for a slightly larger room, but the room was directly above the garbage dumpsters and an alley, and each morning the grinding and crashing of garbage trucks woke me up before 7am. My room was also directly across the hall from the ice machine and the elevator---so I had a ton of noise coming from both sides. I was looking forward to relaxing at the rooftop pool, but the space was packed with 20-somethings, and the music on the rooftop was WAY too loud for anyone my age to enjoy it. I asked to use the hotel safe to store an artwork I bought, because the room safes have a warning on them that they are subject to theft themselves, and guests are urged to use the hotel safe for valuables. But the gal at the front desk had no idea what I was talking about. One evening when I came for dinner, I asked the bartender if he had the Masters on, and he said he doesn't watch tv because he is working. That began a slow slide down with that dinner crew---they are nice young people, but they talked openly, in earshot, of hangovers, drinking, relationship issues, and finally one suggested that if I ordered another drink I would pay for it the next day. I lost it. They told me I was "projecting on to them." I might have been, but I know what projecting is, and they had been judging their friends in their conversation, and I felt judged as well. It was incredibly inappropriate and upset me to no end. The room was okay, except for the noise----what sense does it make to charge someone for extra space but then have the stay ruined by constant noise, which included a lot of drunken young people running up and down the halls. I'd really like a partial refund.

After a Canopy by Hilton stay in Minneapolis last year, we sought out this Canopy property specifically because of those past excellent experiences. This Canopy met our expectations in almost every way. We were only here for one night, as we were on our way to Sedona for a week. The room was great. Modern, fresh, clean, big enough. Hot water, strong pressure, comfortable bed, crisp sheets and fluffy enough towels. Staff for the most part was warm and accommodating. We loved the rooftop bar, cafe and pool. Pool gets crowded, but we enjoyed lunch and a cocktail or two in the shade while we whiled away the pleasant spring afternoon. Breakfast in the Lobby breakfast room was a mixed bag. The food was delicious. The staff was stressed (room was only 1/3 full but every empty table was a mess and the staff couldn't catch up with themselves). How about a little more support staff and a little sharper supervision?!?) Nearby Old Town Scottsdale is not to be missed. Many interesting shops and terrific restaurants are just steps away. Also, the western museum across the street was a great way for us to kill a couple of hours the following morning while awaiting our friends' arrival.
