If I could give this fewer stars I would. First of all they didn’t check me until 5:30 PM even though it was supposed to be ready at 3 PM. The next morning I ordered breakfast and it never arrived. Finally I had to leave. Then when I came back to my room at night, it was not cleaned. When I called the desk to ask what had happened, they insisted I had the do not disturb sign on my door. I took a photograph and also showed the Bellman that there was no do not disturb sign on my door. I was then left on hold forever waiting to ask for clean towels. This is a terrible terrible hotel. The Hyatt Regency is right around the corner. Stay there.

Renaissance Downtown Phoenix Hotel is located approximately 10 minutes away from Sky Harbor International Airport. Simple and contemporary hotel design, this hotel was booked because of the amount of conventions Phoenix is encountering in the month of February. Luckily rooms were available for me and my work colleagues. This hotel is very clean and comfortable, the welcoming scent of the hotel lobby totally reminds me of the white tea scent sprayed in Westin Hotels. I didn't get to use all the facilities as this was a short 30 hour stay, fitness center was more ideal by going to EOS nearby, and many food options in Downtown Phoenix. My room had a queen sized bed, mini fridge, large Smart TV, black out curtains, medium size bathroom with plenty of counter space, standup shower, extra towels, coffee maker, iron & ironing board, equipped with central air con and very secured elevator. Front desk was extremely warm and welcoming with assistance to inputting my Marriot Bonvoy number to earn points for room charges and incidentals. Nearby eateries such as Chipotle, Nick The Greek, Seamus McCaffrey’s, Five Guys Burger, and many more. At the time of check-out very early in the morning, Starbucks is also located downstairs which opens at 5:30am. Make Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel your choice of stay in the heart of the CBD. Offering an ideal location near an array of attractions, including the Phoenix Convention Center, Chase Field, Footprint Center Arena, Phoenix Art Museum. Theater District, and Rosevelt Row Arts. When or if I’m back again, I’d love to discover the newly opened NATUROPATHICA Day Spa. Also would treat myself to Southwestern cuisine at Dust Cutter. Hotel is equipped with high-speed WiFi access, self parking garage and valet service.

Really enjoyed this hotel for a work trip!! The check-in was seamless - quick, efficient, polite and on point. The room was extremely comfortable with good AC/heat, though the shower was very hard to turn off and stop the dripping. The lounge was great and the folks who work in the lounge and in the restaurant are so nice. Grace the B&F director took such good care of me and made sure I had a good meal accommodating my dietary restrictions. I really enjoyed working in the lounge and bar space downstairs. Very fun spaces. The super nice people really made this stay exceptional.

I had high expectations of the Renaissance as I had stayed at one in DC a few years back and enjoyed it. My flights from DFW were delayed so I got in late to this location. As we arrived I noticed a few ‘waifs’ hanging around the hotel that didn’t appear to be staying here. Just based on their very sparse wear. As I went to check in, I noticed 2 young females walk in (honestly they looked and were dressed like street urchins, no offence .) No one stopped them at the front and they seemed to sail right on in. I can safely stay i didn’t feel safe as I have heard of many Marriott hotels that rent out their rooms to the city who then provide housing to homeless folks. The Sheraton Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia did this for 2 yrs when I lived there. This did not seem to be my idea of a relaxing few days doing some remote work. I called customer service and was told I would get charged for leaving the hotel early…I guess even if a woman feels unsafe, the hotel’s attitude is too bad, so sad. Anyway, I will try and leave this hotel before my 2 nights are up as it definitely seems a bit off from the clientele right down to the overly enthusiastic and kinda fake front desk staff. My dad always used to say “no one is that over the top at midnight unless there’s a problem.’ Hopefully they’ll let me check out and I won’t lose a ton of money. The front guy George said if I was hungry I could get some wings from a pub behind the restaurant but a guy who was heading upstairs said he wouldn’t suggest it at this time. Now I’m creeped out.
