Howard Johnson by Wyndham Holbrook

Absolutely terrible experience at this hotel. We have stayed at numerous hotels on route 66 and the service initially was shocking. The receptionist snapped as we entered the hotel that checked in was 3pm. The time was 230pm, fair enough however his attitude was awful. We asked to use the restroom after our 4 hour journey from Albuquerque and were told that there was no restroom we could use and we should leave and use the services at another premise. My wife and I were really shocked at this level of rude service and needless to say we moved onto another hotel in Flagstaff. We will be putting in a complaint with Howard Johnson directly

In the middle of the trip from hell! Really could have used a friendly American face. Didn't get one! Front desk rudely barked that our room was not ready. When it was, it was remarkably clean and peaceful, compared to the seedy exterior. The shower pressure sucked. There were rather rude, unwelcoming signs everywhere stating what should be the obvious. Just very low class. We will stay here again only if we have no other choice.

We were looking for a motel with parking for a truck and long trailer (like a semi). There were several in Holbrook, but this one had a nice large parking area in the back. Our room 105 was extremely nice. 2 queen beds, hot shower water, microwave and fridge. It appeared to have been recently remodeled. Very nice, very clean, friendly & helpful management at front desk and good price.

Dirtiest hotel I’ve ever seen. I took pics of everything. There were holes in the sheets, a large hole on the bathroom wall and door, hairs in the shower and one pillow, and the bed was hard as rock with palpable springs. If we hadn’t arrived so late on our road trip, I would have left, but my young son fell asleep very fast. The bedding was a pilled sheet and very, very thin fleece blanket. I “slept” in my clothes.

The rate was very reasonable price. The beds were very comfortable, nice pillows. It is a quiet, family friendly place. We did not use the pool, but saw others using it. Fun fir the kids. This is our 3rd stay in 2 years and we will stay here again as we travel through Holbrook.
