Residence Inn Phoenix Glendale Sports & Entertainment District

We stayed at this hotel for a NFL football game. It is approximately a 20 minute walk to the stadium which is great during normal temperature days but not during an unusual hot spells. The housekeeping was okay but not outstanding. Daily we had to ask for towels from the front desk. The breakfast was just average.

I stayed in an extended stay room. Single room, bed, desk, kitchen, etc. The room was nice, it was missing a shelf and the tile was cracked in the bathroom. The front desk was very helpful with any issues and recommended where to eat. The gym and pool are shared with the SpringHill Suites.

I was hesitant to stay at this property given a lot of the bad reviews on the property and the customer service at the front desk. However, we ultimately decided to stay at this property because the it offered two rooms and kitchen and we wanted to stay in Glendale. My experience with each and every employee was pleasant and the property was in fine condition. I consider myself on the pickier side of things. The location was excellent, the room was clean and in great shape and the employees were friendly and helpful. The AC worked well which was needed given that the temperature was 113 and the pool was nice to go into at night. The property is well maintained. I've only stayed at a few Residence Inn and this was by far my favorite.

The front desk supervisor is horrible. A mistake was made and they charged me $421 for one night for a room that was mistakenly booked. Nobody stayed in the room and I didn't know it was booked and charged until the next day. I didn't ask for a refund, just asked for them to give me credit for an upcoming stay that I had already booked. They refused. Front desk supervisor said she doesn't care what the reason is, she wont help and nobody else in the management team will help either. Too many hotels in this area for this kind of horrible service and attitude.

Not worth it! The poor housekeepers are treated like slaves while their lazy manager hides in one of the rooms until 11, goes in before the housekeepers only to grab any tips that a guest leave for housekeepers! So wrong... The housekeepers bust they asses but I never see the manager do any work! Plus I can never understand a word from any of them when I need service, FRUSTRATING!
