Staybridge Suites Phoenix East Gilbert an IHG Hotel

We just spent one night, but wouldn't mind spending the week. The room was very clean and comfortable. My husband likes a firm bed while I prefer a softer one. This one we both enjoyed. The hallways were clean. We didn't use the pool or workout space. The breakfast was pretty much the standard hotel breakfast but was much bigger with more selections. There was a basketball tournament going on while we were there and there was a lot of noise in the hallway but they did quiet down at a reasonable time. I also liked that the windows could be opened to get fresh air in. We were tired when we arrived so pictures are from after we had been in the room.

Our room was very nice and clean. We loved the heated pool. Breakfast was very enjoyable as well. However, I found the customer service to be lacking. During our last night, our smoke detector went off for hours. I called down to the front desk to ask them to change the battery. She informed me that she didn’t have anyone on staff that could do maintenance at that hour, and that for liability reasons, no one else could change the battery. Uh, okay. My husband took the battery out and disarmed the detector so we could get some peace. Upon check out the next morning, we made sure to remind them that the smoke detector battery needed changed and that we had disarmed it. To which they responded that we were lucky they didn’t fine us $250 for disarming it. So literally our only option was to not get any sleep and listen to it chirp every ten seconds? There needs to be another option for guests.

Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Some of the worst we have ever slept in. People were running around, slamming things and screaming late at night. Well past “quiet hours”. Staff wasn’t friendly. For the price we paid I expected a lot better quality. Staybridge is typically our go to hotel but this is by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

stayed for 1 night as it was near the Mesa Airport for our flight the next day. This hotel is a good location and was convenient for getting to the airport. Pool area is really nice and is quite large for a chain hotel. Breakfast was good the next morning. Our rooms were clean, modern & well appointed. We would stay here again if in the area.

Hotel was nice and super clean. We stayed here for a bit as needed a 2 bedroom due to house fire, then moved to Chandler big mistake, so came back here. Staff were all helpful and friendly. As we had multiple reservations due to not knowing how long we needed, we kept having to change room, which was a pain would have been nice to stay in one room rather than keep moving, but other than that everything was good. Area felt safe. Housekeeping doesn't clean everyday but you only have to call for supplies or trash removal. Lots of places to eat very close by too which was a blessing. Good breakfast and managers reception on some nights. Free laundry was great !!Would recommend staying here.
