Candlewood Suites El Dorado an IHG Hotel

Hotel is a great place to stay. Staff is friendly and hotel isclean. Coffee is 24/7. The night auditor is the hardest working stall member I encountered, always working whether it's cleaning the floors or helping a guest, she is working, very pleasant to deal with. All hotels want an employee like her.

Our room was not clean or in order. The curtains were in disarray. Popcorn kernels left in the room. The tv had a dangling connection box hanging from the bottom. Air freshener was overpowering and gave me a headache. The final straw was when my husband and I turned back the bed sheets, we found pubic hair. We went down and checked out immediately. We ended up driving the rest of the way home....another five hours after already driving eight hours. We are disgusted and very disappointed with this hotel. We asked that they return our points to our account, but have not seen the returned points yet. I expected the manager to call. We have not heard from anyone. With CoVID-19, this is unacceptable and wrong on so many levels.

Such a nice stay here in El Dorado, AR. I was really impressed with the young lady named Taylor, who was working the desk when I checked in. She is very professional and very pleasant. My room was a double queen with very comfortable beds and crips white linens, had a roomy work station and a nice flat screen tv on the wall. I also really liked the kitchen and all of the nice dishes to use, ended up cooking in the room and relaxing. Thank you for the great stay, Will C'Ya soon.

The only positive at this hotel was the desk clerk, Logan, when I checked in. It went downhill from there. The room had not been cleaned, trash had not been emptied, the few amenity dispensers were empty, the toilet seat only needed someone to use a screwdriver to prevent it from nearly coming off, the linens were dirty, the refrigerator made noises to name a few of the issues. I called Logan to at least have the trash emptied and he made a note to have it done the next day. The note was not given to housekeeping as nothing was done. Upon checkout the manager gave me 5000 points on my reward account which I said meant nothing as I would not be staying at these hotels again. She also said she would see what else she could do.......the something else was a whopping $15 discount off my room charge. I have had better service in third world countries. My advice is to avoid this hotel as there are others in this location.

This property is no ordinary Candlewood Suites! The rooms look much the same, though better kept. The staff anticipates your needs and attends to them on a par with full-service hotels. Hats off to the manager, Michelle, and her stellar staff.
