Budget Inn and Suites Texas

This hotel is nice for a small hotel. I found my room to be very clean with everything working well. It is not a particularly fancy place and does show some wear in the elevator and the desk chair but the bed was comfortable and it was cleaner than many places I have stayed at. This is the reason for my four-star rating. I think this is the most critical thing. It was also totally non-smoking!! Yay!! The staff was friendly upon checking in. I did not see them after that. I was gone during the day, arriving late and leaving early. Don't expect much for towels, shampoo, and soap. It is there but it is minimal. It is enough for some people to get by with. The towels are small and thin but clean. The shampoo comes in small squeeze packages and the soap is small. I brought my own stuff. They do offer a limited breakfast.

The lobby was clean and the staff super nice. The first thing I noticed in the room was the mildew smell and how bare it was. 2 pillows per bed, no in room coffee, few towels. No vending on 3rd floor (see photos). Breakfast was okay, coffee bar poor. There isn't much happening in Ganado, so for one night at the low price of $78, I can live with it. This was recently rebranded as a Budget Inn.

I reluctantly booked here because they didn't offer any smoking rooms. I was pleasantly surprised! The rooms are very clean and dare I say ATTRACTIVE? The bed was delicious and the room and bathroom were squeaky clean. There was a mini fridge, microwave and hair dryer. There is also an elevator for your convenience. The staff are friendly, competent and helpful. There is also a continental breakfast. They even have a nice little bench outside for those "nasty smokers" among us. I would definitely recommend to others!

We decided to stop here over holiday on our way to the Rio Grand Valley. Bare amenities, (no in-room coffee or iron) but the place was clean and the bed was sufficient for a night. The water pressure in the shower was rather weak, but it wasn't terrible. 3 minutes from the highway on FM 710. Worked well for us for the price. No breakfast.

I stayed here overnight with my young son when heavy storms blew through on a camping trip to Lake Texana. Was swayed by the reviews and was glad I listened; this place is an excellent value. This is how I would hope 2 star motels should be run: clean, friendly, & comfortable. The only thing you get by staying somewhere with more stars is better amenities. Rooms were new and updated and VERY clean; I'd stayed in a "nicer" (higher star) facility just the month before and it was noticeably less clean than this Motel 6. Walls are a little thin, i.e. you can hear doors shutting and muffled talking in adjoining rooms, but the A/C and refrigerator provide just enough white noise to cover it without being distracted. Speaking of the A/C, it was off when checked in but quickly cooled the room to a comfortable setting. And by the way, the free coffee in the lobby was actually pretty good! Overall, highly recommended if you're in this part of the state and need a place to stay. If all Motel 6's were like this, I wouldn't bother to stay anywhere else!
