Super 8 by Wyndham Rainsville

The smoke detector was hanging down from the ceiling a foot from 2 wires. There were multiple places in the sheet rock that had been “repaired “ - poorly. The shower curtain had mold on it. The carpet was dirty and stained from having. There was rust on the lamp stands. The mattress was lumpy and soft. The room smelled like chlorine. There was something gross in the dresser drawer. There were some sketchy people in the halls and the smell of cigarettes and marijuana was pervasive. The guy who checked us in was obviously not from the USA and didn’t speak a word of English. I’m being generous rating this place a 0/10 - a negative rating is more accurate.

My partner and I have stayed at many hotels, especially during tough times when we’ve been without a permanent home. But from the very first night at the **Super 8 in Rainsville**, we knew we’d found *our* place.This hotel isn’t just a stopover.. it feels like **home**. The staff is incredibly friendly.. every single one of them make you feel welcome and comfortable. The environment is clean, quiet, and doesn’t have that awful smoke smell so many budget hotels struggle with. The rooms are cozy, the beds and pillows are comfortable, and the whole place just has a warm, relaxed vibe. It’s not “fancy” and that’s perfect for us.. it’s exactly what we need..- a safe, peaceful place to rest. The breakfast is good and quick, the coffee is always fresh, and they never rush you at checkout. A special shout-out to **Jon**, one of the employees who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We’ve never experienced hospitality like this anywhere else. This Super 8 is hands-down the best place we’ve ever stayed, and we’ll keep coming back every chance we get. Thank you for making such a difficult time a little easier.

The hotel was very clean. The room was clean as well. We enjoyed our stay and slept good in the beds, they were comfortable. The breakfast was a standard breakfast that we ate several times during the week. We will definitely stay again. The pool was closed but it wasn’t time to open. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The room was nice and comfortable but the desk clerks were not on the same page. One argued that I hadn't paid my pet deposit when I had already paid and she was rather rude about it even though it was their mistake not mine but over all it was a enjoyable get a way for a couple of nights.

This place is clean, quiet and superbly managed. It is close to Desoto State Park, Ft. Payne and Scottsboro, Alabama. I highly recommend it to families. The people are very friendly, provide great service and it is not expensive like other big name hotels nearby. Spend some time there and see for yourself. No, I wasn't paid for this review.
