I have traveled extensively over the last 40 years. This Quality Inn ties for the worst experience I have ever had. Avoid this hotel at all costs!! Pros - The staff was friendly but ineffective with no real power to help customers. And it is a good location. Cons - There are too many to list, but I will share some of them. I was asked to change rooms twice. The first time because the room was smoky in a non-smoking room (and hotel). The second time because the door could not be locked when you left the room. The put a customer in a room where the door could not be locked! I arrived at breakfast the first morning 45 minutes before it ended and was told there was no more meat (bacon or sausage) available. The room I ended up in (because I was not willing to move again) had a beer bottle under the chair and there was hair down in the sink. It was clear the room had not been cleaned well. There was furniture piled up in the stairwell and one of the outside doors had tape holding it together. There was no back cover on the remote, so the batteries would not stay in for us to use the remote. There was a water leak on the first floor with a bucket to catch the water. And so much more……I have pictures, so look for them on a site that lets you upload pictures with your review. I ask for some of my money back and they told me the manager said “no.” I stayed in the hotel, so that was that. I would not want anyone else to go through what we did in this hotel. It is not worth any cost.

By far one of the worst hotels I have stayed in in a while. And I mean that. First, this is not a 2.5 star hotel by any means. 2 is being generous. Second, the hotel was not full at all so there is no reason for there to be any dirty rooms. I was waiting at the front desk for about 10 minutes before anyone arrived to check me in. Once I get there I got checked into a room and inside looked like someone had just checked out and only thing they did was change the sheets. Literally stains on everything including the lamp shades. Disgusting room. Also the room had a moldy smell. I understand that sometimes that happens for whatever reason in hotels but this was way more pronounced than what I have normally smelled. I was given a room exchange and once I get inside this room it was only slightly better. Then, the pests decided to come and play. Based on the way I purchased the room, I was stuck. I made the most of it only to find myself getting bit by bed bugs later in the evening. I traveled here for work and will be back in the area but I refuse to stay at this place again. This deal was not worth it to me. Location is great and that was about all that was.

I hate giving negative reviews and especially when I know its franchised out and it is a business at the end of the day. Coming from the UK I have soon found out that despite what is 'written on the tin' isn't necessarily what you will get in the USA. For example the pool advertised on the website, hotel brochures and at the time of our booking looks like it was filled in some time ago and the recently refurbished must have been years ago. The bed was comfortable however the pillows perhaps could have been a better quality. I do get that its a budget hotel and as long as you don't expect frills ( as we didn't) then this is the place for a one night stay over.

The breakfast is a definite plus. Good selection of hot food like biscuits and gravy, very good sausage, decent biscuits, and excellent juice and other beverage options. The front desk staff is courteous, friendly, and thorough, even if the poor lady DOES seem exhausted. She was lovely and friendly. The rooms, however, leave something to be desired. The beds are comfortable, but the other furniture is stained, torn, and old; upon checking out, I thought (quite belatedly) that I probably should have taken pictures of the ripped and stained furniture, lest the management think WE had done it, and refuse to release our $100 that they take for "damage control". The hotel is convenient to the interstate, and there is excellent parking; we didn't hear very much from the other guests, either, so there's that. But for $100 a night, carpets should be regularly shampooed so guests' socks aren't BLACK; there shouldn't be teeny little flying ... things on the walls, furniture shouldn't have HUGE tears and stains in it, and fridges should be cold, and televisions in-room should actually turn on. But it was only overnight, so it was "good enough" for the two of us.

This was a layover on a trip. The property looks good. The window treatment in our room was the best we have seen in a Choice brand, with a roll-up translucent panel behind a pretty opaque roll-up panel that completely darkened the room. The building had excellent wifi. The breakfast was a solid "B", with egg and sausage patties, biscuits and gravy among the offerings. The only down-check was no hot water. We assume that management responded to high energy costs by turning the water heating down to lukewarm. It took the glow off of what was otherwise a very nice stay.
