Hampton Inn Birmingham Leeds

Really quiet location (except the construction next door during the day). Not much food at this exit (aside from bucees) but one exit up (4 miles) is a number of fast food places and restaurants. Only complaint, and not their fault, is the lack of a decent cell phone signal. I have att (personal) and Verizon (work) and both were 1 bar with sparse data connections. Luckily their wifi worked well :).

This place isn't visible from the highway because of the trees, but it wasn't hard to find. It's across from a Bass Pro Shop that is surrounded by trees and down the street from a Buc-ee's. The hotel is also surrounded by trees with ample free parking and secure doors accessible with room keys. The staff members were super friendly and warm. It felt like walking into a friend's house. They even had a printed list of all the food and activities in the area. The decor was fun. The rooms were clean and inviting. They were also quiet. Big plus when you are trying to rest after a ridiculously long road trip. The toiletries are cruelty free and smelled amazing. We had a small fridge - perfect for storing the banana pudding we brought in from Buc-ee's. There was a microwave that was clean and warmed up the fried pie (also from Buc-ee's) nicely. The windows had blackout curtains, but we were lucky enough to arrive in time to see the gorgeous sunset over the trees. We didn't use the fitness center or pool, but it was nice to know those were there. We had breakfast before heading out. There was something for everyone. Waffle bar, sausage, biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, hot oatmeal, pastries, toast, yogurt, juice, and a coffee bar. I know I'm leaving things out because there was so much to choose from. And they started serving it at 6:00 a.m. so you could eat and still get on with your trip or daily business. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you to everyone at the Hampton Inn in Leeds. It was a great experience.

I'm not giving this hotel 5 stars for two reasons listed at end. First of all this is a very very nice clean hotel! Starting with the very large, well lit parking lot to the indoor check in area, seating area to eat, hallways, etc it was just so clean and nice! Very impressed! Our room was very roomy and decorated so nicely and again just so clean! Huge bathroom and shower. The AC worked great! When we closed and pushed in curtains the room was so dark which is important to us in a hotel room. It's convenient to everything! Buc-ees, Bass Pro and I20 are just right next door. A great hotel in Leeds AL! I didn't give 5 stars because of one SMALL thing...the TV stations are horrid. Almost none of the channels worked......and the BIG reason is the slamming doors next to us! I understand that people are just RUDE but when it happens for hours over and over every five minutes and I call the front desk and she says oh I think it's the stairwell door...whatever it's not! The walls literally shook every time! The same people started slamming again at 730am. Have some respect for others!! There's just no reason for it!

This was a very nice clean motel. The room was clean and had all the usual things in the room one would expect. The area was very nice with plenty of parking. We had a trailer & we were accommodated very well for special parking. We didn’t get to experience the breakfast because we left at 4:00 am.

Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fair. Coffee good. Would definitely stay again. It’s also a few blocks from a 24 hours Buc-ee’s. Free water offered from front desk as a HiltonHonors points member. Everything as expected. Give it a try.
