Embassy Suites by Hilton Huntsville

Overnight in an exec. suite for the Garrison Keillor show. We're not from Lake Woebegon, but it's nice to get caught up on the news from there. A bit of overkill but wow all the room. They've renovated and the place looks A LOT better than last trip. The "snack bag" was an unexpected surprise. As the pics show lots of room. 2nd floor is where the pedestrian bridge to the Von Braun Center is so it's one stop and done. Good job Embassy crew! NOTE: This room was directly across from the elevators so there is "lobby noise" in the front. Little to no noise in the bedroom area, though.

This is a very nice hotel! Lots of parking...outdoor lot and parking deck under hotel. It is $18/night to park. The room was very nice. Very comfortable beds! The AC worked good and has room darkening curtains which is important to us. Our room was on the 7th floor with nice views of Huntsville including the rocket at the space and rocket center in the distance. The breakfast has all the normal hot items and an omelet station where it's made to order for you. We really enjoyed the indoor walkway to the Propst Arena for our concert....not having to go outside in the weather was nice.

We turn the bed back and there were holes in the sheet. What a disappointment while sheet were clean, you would think that whomever laundry the sheets and/or made up the bed would have tossed the sheets. $400.00 a night, this does not meet my expectation of a nice hotel.

This is a very poorly maintained hotel. The management has apparently never heard of preventive maintenance. I stayed in the hotel for five days. During two of those days there was no hot water, no heat, and no hot breakfasts. Just when they got that fixed, two of the three elevators stopped working and by the time I checked out, there was still no one working on fixing them.

The room was truly a suite...living area...bath area and sleeping area...we had two queen beds...2 very large tv's ..one in bedroom ...one living area..which had a pull out couch..ottomans..a chair..table with a chair...made for a very nice space for when we came back to hotel....the breakfast!!! Oh my goodness...you may as well have gone to a restaurant..made to order eggs....omelets...then the hot buffet had everything else you might want....excellent and the chef....he was amazingly fast and polite and friendly..the staff was friendly as well....to top all that off...they had a happy hour each evening from 530 t0 7 with a 2 drink voucher and appetizers..one night...vegies and dip and salsa and chips...one night cheese, crackers....nuts...always nice to look forward to upon return to hotel after day of touristy stuff. From now on...we will look for an Embassy suites hotel when we travel...oh and the location was right on the water of Big Spring Park...ducks and fish to feed...overlooked the city....walkable to downtown...so all in all I would definietly recommend this hotel!
