Besides its convenient location, there is not much more going for this hotel. Some of the seating in the breakfast area is âunsittableâ. The breakfast is what youâd expect from a 2-3 star hotel. The room we stayed in felt damp and humid and the bathtub drain was completely clogged. Which btw raises the question, if they âcleaned and rinsedâ this tub, how did they not notice the total clog?? We spent an hour of our first evening waiting while maintenance unclogged our tub. Câmon Hilton, at $200+ a night you can certainly do better! My recommendation would be to find another place to stay while visiting Fairhope, AL.

We made the mistake of reading reviews of this place after we had already booked a room and evidently people had had some bad experiences here recently. So I wanted to chime in and say that our stay was fine. Yes, this is an old building and some aspects may be dated but our room was clean, people were friendly, and the breakfast was just like every other Hampton Inn. We would stay there again just for the location!

I travel a lot for work and have traveled for 40 years. I have never written a review on a hotel before now, but we had such a bad experience at this hotel, I feel compelled to let future guests and hotel ownership know. If I could give zero stars, I would. Long story that started with a digital room check-in that indicated our room was ready. Upon opening the door, it was very clear that housekeeping had not touched the room from the previous occupant (dirty towels, trash, unmade bed, etc.). NBD, it happens sometimes. We let the evening front desk clerk know, and she kindly gave us a new room and sent an email to the manager. I asked when I might have a chance to speak with the manager to discuss, and she mentioned that she did not know when the manager would be on property as he did not let staff know when he was working. We stopped by the front desk the next morning to inquire if the manager would be in that day, and the desk clerk Jordan told us the same thing, that she wasnât sure which days he would be on property. We left a Do Not Disturb sign on our door so housekeeping would not clean the room and came back in the evening to a cleaned room. The 3rd day, we asked Jordan again if the manager would be in (same story again) and notified her that our room had been cleaned despite the Do Not disturb sign. She began a verbal attack on us and stated that my husband had requested it, which of course he had not. Jordan was unusually combative for no apparent reason and laughed at us with the other desk clerk. Our room was cleaned again that day with the Do Not Disturb sign hung again on the door. Suddenly my digital access no longer worked, and I was told by Hilton Honors customer service that the front desk clerk can turn off digital access. The hotel is very dated with old and dusty furniture and plumbing. Most of the equipment in the fitness center was not working properly. Also note that this hotel has no handicap parking spaces. I received an email from the manager on the 3rd day that we could contact him, but we did not see the email until late in the day after he was gone. We checked out a day early, and leaving was the best decision!

This place is a dump. Really old, chipped-up furniture. VERY worn upholstery. Dirty carpet. And hair on the bed pillows when we checked in! It's such a shame that this place is so bad because of its great location. I'll NEVER stay here again. If I were the owner of this property, I'd be so embarrassed. Don't go here.

We have stayed here multiple times over the last eight or nine years. The location canât be beat. The interior is dated but our rooms have always been clean and the staff has always been friendly and responsive. The breakfast has plenty of offerings and options as well. Parking is convenient to the building, and we have never experienced any issues with it.
