La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Birmingham Hoover

Reasonable price for an overnight stay while traveling. Clean hotel inside and out. Nice fitness center. Pool looked nice and clear. Decent breakfast choice. Only reason I deducted a star is not enough fruit choice at breakfast and our bed was too soft compared to what we are used to.

I’ve stayed at plenty of La Quintas and feel my expectations are set appropriately for the price. I don’t expect super high quality furniture or amenities. But I DO expect it to be clean. It feels/looks clean when you first check in. And maybe we got unlucky. But our room was bad. Our feet/socks were filthy after the first few minutes of walking around the laminate floor in the room. Broken outlets. Towels with hair on them. Stained furniture. I could go on. It seems like the hotel is lacking oversight with their management and don’t have adequate staff or well trained staff for cleaning. It was the dirtiest room I’ve ever stayed in. Beware.

Excellent for the price. Very contemporary and clean. Good breakfast also. Definitely would stay there again. I felt very safe room and very good features. Is it all kinds of good coffee lattes and waffles. I like the colors and the room decorations were nice.

Hotel is in great shape, at least room 318 was, and the lobby and surrounding areas. It was all modern and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay here again and more importantly I wouldn't hesitate to bring my family here.

We spent one night on way to Florida. Very enjoyable stay. Everyone was efficient and pleasant. We were on the 4th floor so was quiet. Beds were comfortable. Room and bathroom very clean. Great shower with plenty of hot water! Would definitely stay again.
