Hotel Indigo Birmingham Five Points S UAB an IHG Hotel

Marcie & Joshton are amazing professionals who go out of their way to provide excellent customer service. Great communication and hospitality. I have no problem staying at the Hotel Indigo again. They should definitely get a raise. -Adam Cantrell

Terrible hotel! We stayed one night on a road trip here because we wanted to be in downtown Birmingham and the online photos of the rooms looked nice. However, we had a very disappointing stay. The lobby & check process was unprofessional & a little odd. You have to valet & that is $40 a night. The valet seemed a little off, too. The rooms are worn and the floors were extremely dirty. The bathroom floor was filthy. The AC / heat but did not work at all. The hotel was very noisy - water pipes making noise, loud music playing at 4:00 am, traffic & street noise through the flimsy windows. We were going to stay a 2nd night on our way back & tried to cancel, but were told we would not get a refund because we didn't cancel FOUR DAYS in advance. This is absurd.

Although the hotel itself was a disappointment, there were employees who were the highpoint of our stay. The valet service was excellent. Marci went above and beyond to assist us with luggage and making sure we were in and out of the car safely on a busy street and in the blowing rain. She recognized that we had some specific challenges and was kind and compassionate. In the restaurant, Delores was patient and attentive with us and provided excellent service. I was excited to stay at a Hotel Indigo because my previous experiences at this brand was excellent. This property has great potential but needs some repair and maintenance.

We stayed on the 6th floor and had a great experience. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the tv worked fine, the water was hot in the shower and i received all the amenities of a typical mid-range hotel. Check-in and check-out was easy and they even had a little bar to enjoy an evening drink. Only two downsides. First, as with many city locations, there was no real parking offered other than valet. The service was however pretty quick and efficient enough to not make me late to anything. Secondly, you have to call down to the front desk to have your room temperature changed. Never heard of this before... haha... but the room was comfy (it was 34 degrees outside) and I never needed to call. All in all I would stay at Hotel Indigo again without hesitation. Thanks for the stay.

The hotel is securely protected, eclectic, has an amazing staff and valet. Miss Deloris in the kitchen was WONDERFUL and can cook!!! If you leave hungry, it’s your fault. The manager, when we checked in the evening of December 28, was such a gentlemen. He made sure we were fully accommodated. Valet attendant Brandon Fox was kind, helpful, so respectful of our vehicle and was very prompt when asked for our vehicle through the hotels text system. He even carried our bags and opened my door. Great experience in a neat hotel in the middle of Birmingham, right by the fountain. If you know, you know. I’d certainly recommend this establishment. Cozy bedding, by the way…
