TownePlace Suites by Marriott Foley at OWA

The man at the front desk was very rude and unprofessional. I asked for a print out of my charges and he acted liked it was the end of the world. Asked why it was higher than my original price and he ignored me and started talking to another person.

We had 2 rooms for a one night stay. Check in was easy and friendly. It’s really your only option if you want to walk to the OWA water and amusement park. Rooms were quiet. Breakfast was pretty bad. Very cold, but they were trying to serve a lot of folks at once and were getting food out before it was ready. Otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars.

Check in was seamless and the staff I encountered were friendly and very helpful(5 stars). Breakfast was pretty good and I loved the proximity to OWA activities and restaurants. The hotel facility is a hot mess-it is in dire need of simple maintenance and updating. Furniture everywhere is tattered, rusted and worn; room furniture looks like it was purchased from a 2nd hand store; carpet worn/torn. Also the room door was filthy( I guess from kids?)...not what I expected from a Marriott Hotel! While I do understand wear and tear-simple, inexpensive maintenance (paint, wood stain, wood replacement) could fix these issues. I've included just a few pictures.

Wonderful stay. Kay at the front desk went above and beyond to check us in early so that we could make it to the water park. Breakfast was great and staff service was awesome. We will definitely be back.

Yes, the overall Hotel is ok. However, we asked for the garbage to be taken out, new towels, and toilet paper on Sunday 10/8. Asked housekeeping again that afternoon. Asked the front desk the next afternoon as we ran completely out of toilet paper and were without towels. The front desk called back and stated we could come down and pick them up if it was urgent???? At the time we went down to ask there were no fewer than 5 members of the housekeeping staff in the lobby. Why pay for a hotel when no one cares?
