Motel 6 Harlingen TX

This Motel 6 is unscrupulous. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! Our company paid for two nights for an employee who could not make it home due to flooding in the area. The Front Desk Clerk, Juan, would not let the employee back in the room for the second night. Mind you the area was flooding (March 28 and March 29) On Friday, March 28, 2025, my employer was on the phone with Juan while she was booking booking two nights for our employee. Juan knew that one night was booked under the employee's name and the second night was under my bosses name because she joined Motel 6 Rewards program to get a better rate at the time she booked the se ond night. She told Juan this. Juan said everything would be fine. My boss even asked him if the employee would have to get a new key the next day and he said no. He would make it so she could use the same key. Surprise, surprise when the employee went out to eat and came back to the hotel, Juan would not let her back in even though he knew my boss booked two nights. My boss has two confirmation emails and two charges on the credit card. Motel 6 in Harlingen, TX cheated my boss and left an elderly, female employee without a place to stay in the middle of a flood. They double sold the room it seems. I spoke to Victor just a few moments ago to explain the situation. He seems to be an Indian (India) man who said he was part of the ownership of the hotel. He didn't seem to care out what happened to our elderly employee at all. I called back six times after the inital call and he would not answer the phone. I called back on another number and he picked up right away. Disgusting, lying, cheaters in my opinion!

This has been a great, safe, quiet place to stay for a week. The employees were professional and very accommodating. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. I will definitely stay here and recommend to my friends and family when they come to visit.

Clean and best value in town. Have laundry. My experiences with Motel 6 have varied significantly but this is definitely one of the best I have been to. Thanks and will be back again the next time I am in town.

We were scheduled to stay 6 nights at this Motel 6; but after 3 nights, we decided to pay extra to move to another hotel. I booked a smoking room with 2 full beds on their Motel 6 website. When we arrived, I was informed that the hotel was completely non-smoking, and the webpage needs to be corrected. No big deal. What was a big deal was the room door that squeaked horribly, and the air vent that rattled all night long. My husband sprayed the hinges with WD-40 & rigged the vent cover with painter's tape to stop the rattle. The hotel has a guest laundry on the 2nd floor, with one washer & one dryer. Both machines were filthy, and located in a room with no AC . . . horribly hot! The dryer didn't completely dry the clothes after two runs, so I ended up complaining at the front desk. The Manager let me use one of their commercial dryers, which was half falling apart. Other issues include no mattress pads on the mattresses (ewww), and a very moldy/mildewed shower curtain. We've stayed at several Motel 6 locations in our travels . . . this one is probably the worst so far!

Description says air conditioning, blow dryers, and microwave- be warned there is no heat or blow dryers and microwave is community shared in lobby. Coffee is only out from 6:30-9:30 and there are no teas or decaf. Shower water pressure was a drizzle and curtain had slim from previous guest. This is cheap and bare bones. If you just need a room For a short night and a bed to sleep in then this is your place.
