Motel 6 Memphis TN Downtown

Terrible place. The worst cheap motel I’ve stayed at. I’ll get to the key low points. Get to the motel at 4 pm. Lobby is already locked. Have to check I through the security glass. And it’s 30° outside. Already a bad sign. Get my room drive through the locked security gate that surrounds the compound. Unpack and take off to get food. I get back and try the sink. And barely a trickle runs out the faucet. Go downstairs to the lobby and commence to inform the staff about the problem through the security glass. He says he’ll come up and check. 20 minutes later he checks and sure enough it doesn’t work. He gives me another room. I look in that one before moving my luggage. And, the new rooms toilet is running and is filled with stains like it hasn’t been used in years. Take the lid off and the flapper is completely broken. Go and get another room. Luckily that one is ok. Get up in the morning to get some complimentary coffee and sure enough lobby is still locked and no complimentary coffee! Through the security glass the guy tells me they used to have coffee available but the machine broke. This place sucks. DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HEAR!

DO NOT stay here. Pictures are not how this place is. Also questionable activities going on at the rear side of the building. Pillows were mouldy. No betterments to the rooms in at least 50 years. No coffee. Trash around premises. Concerns with privacy of your information. Ants. Other flying insects. Bad neighbourhood. Taxi and uber drivers don’t like going here.

First impressions, metal fence with locked security gates! These do not appear in the online photos!!!! Room was spacious, clean, supersized very comfy bed and pillows, fridge, micro, tv, wc and shower, air con, desk with chair, hanging rail, hand basin in main room, usb charging points. Inet in room iffy, drops out frequently, poor signal strength. Daily room service, even on Christmas day, but no shampoo for shower. McD, Arbys and BK very close, also launderette opposite. NO facility to leave bags whilst waiting for transport for a night flight. If you have a night flight, you basically have to go to the airport way too early as you cannot drag your suitcases around for several hours. So on this aspect alone, I would not book this hotel again.

I stayed at this hotel based on the reviews and it had double bed ADA rooms. They were lies. There was a dead roach in the bathroom, the shower head didn't work sprayed water all over the place, the tv remote didn't work, and we couldn't change to another ADA room because the only 1 that was available with everything working only had 1 bed and we needed 2 beds. The other ADA room was a smoking room and that bathroom shower head was broke too. We had to shower in 1 room and go back to our room with the broke remote. Found out from the older maintenance man that it was the tv not the remote and that both these issues would be worked on the next day. I left him know we are checking out 1st thing in the morning and getting my refund that i already prepaid for 4 days. And I'm calling back on Monday morning to speak with a manager to get my 1 night study refunded

WARNING!!!!This motel was by far the nastiest place I have ever stayed. First to start off the manager was very disrespectful me and my husband was coming in town and before we left I called to inform them we were going to be coming way after the check in time I originally reserved for two nights but because of the time we were arriving technically it was the next day so the associate told me it was fine and he only would charge me for one night. The manager tried charging me double and went back and forth with me until my husband intervened needless to say we only paid for one night. The worst part of this whole experience was the room we were in was infested with roaches my husband had reported it to the office they had someone come and spray but it seemed to have gotten worse even to the point my husband found one in his shoe box. Complained to management we get moved to another room not even 5mins in the room we get surprised by Mama Roach!!!!!!!! Unacceptable and this place should truly be exterminated and thoroughly cleaned in my opinion please don't waste your time or money here.
