The Shelburne Sonesta New York

The rooms are spacious and easy on the pocket. But what makes this hotel a top choice when I travel to NYC is the customer service. The desk is friendly, helpful and professional. They resolve issues and give recommendations with a smile. I lost my purse in a cab and David (front door) and Hector (desk) made sure we got the purse back and checked me into my room without a hitch. Lovely visit. Will be back again!

My husband and I absolutely love staying at The Shelburne Sonesta New York. It's always our first choice when we're in the city, and this visit was no exception. I had left a few items behind and was dismayed to think they were long gone, but Arelis Nuñez, the Assistant Director of Front Office, went above and beyond to ensure they were safely returned to me. From start to finish, Arelis was not only professional but also incredibly friendly and caring. We are always so impressed with the service and warmth from the entire staff. We can’t wait to return and stay with them again!

We chose the hotel for its location close to Times Square and Broadway. It also has excellent transport links. We were very pleased with the size of our room and found the kitchen very helpful. Beyond that we would like to thank David and Louis in their attitude and helpfulness made the stay more comfortable. All requests were easily accommodated. House keeping maintained our room to a high standard and they were always patient even when we had a later stay in the room. This was the third hotel in three weeks and we found it outclassed the other two.

Spent nearly a month in the U.S. with the final 10 days at this hotel and it was by far the best one. The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble, from helping with bags, providing travel adaptors, extra pillows, giving recommendations and organising transport etc. Every staff member we interacted with was so lovely but the two that made my mum and I’s trip were Luis and David. The hotel is in a superb location, everything is walking distance - 5 mins to Grand Central, 15 mins to 5th Ave, 20 to Broadway / Times Square & 30 mins to Madison Square Garden / Penn Station.

Large/clean room with wonderful staff, all so kind/helpful as we were there for our daughter's surgery at NYU/Langone and had to stay a few days following discharge from hospital before being cleared to fly home. Arelis the Manager, David the Bellman and Christine the evening manager at Vintage Green Rooftop restaurant all exceptional, going out of their way to assist.
