DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Buffalo Amherst

The hotel itself was decent; the room was clear and the amenities were fine. But after the experience we had last night, we will never be using this hotel again. Our room was booked on the first floor, for some reason it was right beside a room full of hockey players and their rowdy parents. The group was having a party in the room, with people coming in and out constantly and shouting in the hallway. Now, I don't begrudge anyone having a good time... but by 11 pm the party had been going on for hours and we were trying to sleep. The constant noise was keeping us up. We mentioned this to the front desk (more than once) and were told that the group could have the room until midnight, and then they would be asked to go stop the party. By 4 am, the party was still going strong, and despite everyone's complaints (not just our room), nothing was done. Eventually the police were called and did the best they could to disperse the party at the hour. According to the police, they were instructed by the hotel management NOT to kick anyone out of their rooms. We absolutely appreciate the police doing their job, but the lack of sympathy from the front desk was frankly insulting. Not once were we offered to be moved to a different room or any other workaround. The hockey parents were clearly the priority and not the other hotel guests. Needless to say, we will never be staying at this facility again.

Hotel looks updated from the lobby, but once you get to a room you quickly see that's a facade. The room was clean, but the kitchenette was very dated with three plates and zero other drink ware or silverware. The refrigerator made loud noises every so often. The phones didn't work correctly, and one was completely broken. The outlets didn't have covers. The TVs are not smart TV and have no ability to stream anything, it's just Spectrum cable. Sheets weren't super clean, no extra pillows. Pool area was dingy and water was freezing. Room service was expensive and the food seemed like reheated generic stuff. Would never come back.

Excellent all around! Excellent service from staff, all around were just phenomenal!!! Good, quiet location with plenty of parking. Good dinner and outstanding breakfast! Definitely my #1 place to stay at Buffalo NY area. Thank you for a pleasant stay!!

Convenient location, close to bars, restaurants, airport,and University of Buffalo. There are several hotels nearby but I liked that this had coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave in room. Our flight was too early for breakfast so didn't want to pay for something we weren't going to use. There is indoor pool. Hotel was near full when we stayed but quiet in room. Full busload of youth hockey team there, so you know it was good value. I like chocolate chip cookies, they have allergy sensitive ones too, just ask.

Excellent service. The staff were excellent! Bree was amazing, she did everything possible to make our stay pleasant. I would definitely recommend this place. I arrived with my family, including my kids, they all loved the place. I would come back again.
